Simple Stories Sn@p! Album

In the spirit of finding time for our love of scrapbooking during our busy lives, Simple Stories' creation of the Sn@p! system fills our creative voids while not spending too much time. Kristy MacKeen shows us the album she created for her son's scouting adventures.

Happy Friday! I’m back again! Can you handle two posts from me in one week?

I was super excited when Melodee told me I was going to be working with Sn@p! products. I really enjoy the pocket method of scrapping. Don’t get me wrong. I still love my 12x12 layouts…I’ll never stop making those, but the pocket style scrapping makes keeping memories a snap! (Yes, pun intended!) And today’s steal is a great place to start!

Opening the box from scrapbookSTEALS, I was so excited to see the orange Sn@p! album. My son started Cub Scouts this year, and blue and orange are his colors, so I knew exactly what I wanted to do - make a book to document the year in Tiger Cubs. With Sn@p!, I can document the little things that go on throughout the year very easily and quickly. I love Sn@p! album's bare chipboard covers. You can personalize the cover to go with your project. For this album, I used a navy mist under my title letters, to keep with the blue and orange theme.

Also included with the album are dividers, 6x8 journaling pages and a sampling of page protectors. I inked the edges of my dividers and used little letters to put the titles on the tabs. Besides just the simple inking, you could cover your tabs with paper, photos, washi, mementos… anything you can think of!

Here are a few pages I made with the page protectors, as well as some of the journaling cards that are also part of today’s steal. Journaling cards are great for well, journaling, of course, or titles, or as I’ve done – a little of both!

I can’t wait to keep adding to this book as the year goes on. If you have ever wanted to try this style of scrapping, this is a great way to start. Maybe make it your New Year’s Resolution to give it a try!
