A very merry Friday everyone! I was so excited when I found out I would be getting to work with My Mind’s Eye’s All is Bright. It is such a unique Christmas collection with all of the blues and vintage patterns. I knew immediately that I wanted to do decorations for this upcoming holiday season.
I turned to my Cameo to create several of the pieces, including three trees, some ornaments, and an 8x10 “centerpiece.”
For this tree, I used two different patterns, one in blue and one in red, for a lot of contrast and pop. I kept the star neutral with all of the colors of the tree. The two ornaments are made to look like antique Christmas tree ornaments. After gluing them together, I strung a piece of thread through the hole to give them that real ornament look.
I picked a few more patterns for these two simpler trees, again balancing the red and blue with each other. I added one final ornament in a red chevron with lots of pop.
I centered all of the decorations around this piece. I just took an old black frame to start out. I cropped the ledger paper from the collection to 8x10 to use and then cut out Merry & Bright on my Cameo. From there I pulled in the beautiful layered embellishments and the chipboard pieces to decorate. The faceted gems added the perfect final little bits of bling to the piece to really make it sparkle.
I love how this collection made these vintage inspired embellishments really shine. I cannot wait until a little later in the holiday season when I can finally get them up on my mantle! And even after all of this, I still enough paper and embellishments for some layouts and cards!
