When you are looking for that perfect collection that is versatile and you can create something 'out of the box,' Echo Park's This & That Collection is the perfect thing. Choose from a boy version (Charming) or girl version (Graceful) and start creating. I chose "Charming" and created a fun game for my great-nephew. This brings us to our Monday Craft Madness Theme for this week:
Out of the Box
Make something that is not a traditional layout or card. Kids love to see pictures of themselves, I made this memory game with cute Lincoln Parker's photos. It's super easy and he loves playing with it.
For those of you that follow Echo Park Paper, you may see Madison in one of these photos. ;)
Start by trimming down your paper and photos. I used 4x4 inch squares as my main piece and cut two other patterns to layer on the back of my cards. I then trimmed my photos to 3.75x3.75 inches.
After layering and gluing the pieces together it made the cards thick enough to play with. Lay out all of the cards to start the game.
How fun is that? You can even use some journal or title cards from the collection to make a little bit of variety in the game.
Then I made a little box to keep the cards in and Lincoln can play the game for years to come.
