Let's face it, a girl can never have too much ribbon! Today's steal, the Prima Ribbon Stackers, is the perfect option for expanding your ribbon stash in a cute and organized way. The patterns, textures and colors are a sure-fire fit for everyone's creative needs.
For this week's Monday Card Madness, I decided to step away from a sketch and challenge myself to use ribbon in five different ways.
The first card I made I had to apply the ribbon flower technique that Heather Conklin showed us last Tuesday on our How To'sday post. I simply love how this ribbon flower turned out!
Next, I wanted to show how you can make a fun border using little scraps of ribbons. Mix them up, stitch them down, and you've got yourself a great way to use up those little scraps and create an entirely unique embellishment.
I also made a card using a beautiful flower patterned ribbon to create a divider on my card.
Another technique that I like to do with ribbon is to create a hanger. It's a fun way to anchor designs to the top of your creation.
Finally, I wanted to make a layered ribbon border. To make this border I simply used photo tape and taped down the ribbon in folds. It's so easy to do and makes for a very elegant touch to a project.
So there you have it! I challenge you to show us how you love to use ribbon. Also don't forget our challenge to send out joy. It's been so fun for me this week hearing about my cards popping up around the country! I can't wait to get these five sent out to brighten someone's day.
