Getting Inspired with SEI Boxed Albums

We featured some of Kristy’s fabulous creations with today’s steal, SEI Boxed Albums, a while back, but since these kits are so cool, I thought we’d share some of her ideas again.

One of the coolest things about these is whether you have creativity coming out your ears or you don’t have a creative bone in your body, these kits are easy to use and so versatile in possibilities. The kit comes with detailed, color photo instructions, as well as clearly marked elements as to which pieces go to which layout. You can choose to put it together as they suggest or change it up for your own style.

These make fantastic gifts! How cute would these be for Grandma or Grandpa with Mother’s Day and Father’s Day coming up? Or with these gorgeous floral patterns and springy colors, this is a great kit to document the sunny days ahead. Find a few photos, drop them into the layout and you have an adorable keepsake to cherish for you or a loved one. Check out the adorable album Kristy made with this kit below.

One of the coolest additions of this kit is that it comes with digital scrapbooking software. Don’t let digi scrapbooking scare you. The software is easy to use and navigate and so much fun to play with. Not to mention, you can change around layouts, photos and designs with just a few clicks—totally something right up my alley.

The scrapbooking software comes with the ability to recreate the physical album kit. This means that you can easily re-produce the same album to give to a loved one. You heard that right—you could use the hard copy as a gift and print a digital scrapbook to keep yourself.

The software is also filled with lots of other fun things that you can explore like calendars and page layouts with so many different templates to choose from. Recreate your design or make scrap pages from scratch! Search through hundreds of papers and embellishments to create a design you love.

Just send your digital scrapbook layout to print, cut to size and add to an album.

The best of traditional and digital scrapbooking comes all together with this kit—with all the scrap potential included, this is definitely a steal!

Welcome Guest Sketcher Brittany Perry! (Mid Week Mojo #32)

Welcome Guest Sketcher Brittany Perry! (Mid Week Mojo #32)

It’s already the first Wednesday in March, which means it’s guest sketcher time again!  I positively love guest sketch weeks as it’s so much fun to see different amazing scrap talents enrich our blog.  I’m so excited to be able to present to you one of our local friends, Brittany Perry.

I was so, so, so excited when I got Kristy’s e-mail asking if I would like to be a guest sketcher! Me? Really? At the same time, I felt a little nervous, considering all of the awesome guest sketchers who preceded me, not to mention Kristy’s amazing sketches. Of course I wanted to do it, I just hoped I could come up with something that people would enjoy recreating!

Initially, I was going to work with Piggy Tales’ Twinkle Twinkle collection, but then Kristy suggested that I might like to work with the Imaginisce Enchanted collection.  Apparently, she knows my scraping preferences well since it is right up my alley!  I love to scrap pictures of my kids and it seems like most often it ends up being my two-year-old daughter!  And with a little girl who loves to dress up like a princess (and I mean daily), these papers were absolutely perfect for so many of my pictures.

After finishing my sketch and initial layout, I wondered if I could use this kit for boys as well.  As I thumbed through my pictures, I came upon some Easter pictures and thought they’d go great with some of the more neutral papers.  They have great springy, pastel colors!  I used the same layout, but made it a one-pager, and I think it worked great with my boys’ pictures as well!

I did a third layout, somewhat related to my sketch, because again, they were perfect for my pictures!

I also love that this kit comes with a matching 6×6 pad!  Those are my favorite for creating cards!  My niece just had a birthday, and I couldn’t resist making her a card with some of the 6×6 papers and the cute stamps that are included (I also got to use my American Crafts stamp markers for the first time on this card).

I hope everyone likes the sketch, and I can’t wait to see all of the layouts!
Thank you, Melodee & Kristy, for inviting me to guest sketch, and for such a fun kit to work with!  The whole experience really was Enchanting!

Thank you, Brittany!  Your talents are truly inspiring and I think we are in for a fun week of creations from your sketch.
