Doodlebug Designs All Mixed Up Alpha Rub-ons | Monday Card Madness #90

“Please remind me one more time, I keep forgetting! I tell ya, it must be a mom thing as those kids have zapped all of my brain cells. Wait a minute. I have an idea! Will you please take these Doodlebug Designs All Mixed Up Alpha Rub-ons and just go ahead and rub the reminder right on my forehead so I don’t forget? Ahhh. That’s better.” :)

I don’t know about you, but I think rub-ons have got to be one of the greatest scrappy inventions since the paper trimmer! And what’s better is that today’s steal comes in a variety of sizes and colors to meet your every paper crafting need. I’m over the moon in love with these mini alphas when it comes to making cards. I love being able to add the perfect sentiment to my project with the flick of a popsicle stick!

Can you believe that we have been at our Monday Card Madness fun for NINETY weeks now? That just makes my brain wiggle to think about! I had a lot of fun with this week’s sketch because I love scallops and tags.

I love how easy the Doodlebug rub-ons made it to customize my cards, and the best part about these rub-ons is that they don’t love their neighbors when you apply them. You know the irritating rub-ons that leave a trace of everything even remotely close to the one you actually want to apply? Not Doodlebug Designs rub-ons. They are perfection.

I love ‘em!

Don’t forget that we are currently teamed up with We R Memory Keepers Operation Write Home Card Drive for a fantastic giveaway. We have a lovely Red White and Blue Stack Pack that will be given to one random winner who participates in the Operation Write Home Card Drive.

To enter to win:

We will have a random drawing from all of the card drive participants. The winner will be announced on our July 30th Monday Card Madness blog post. (Don’t forget! Post your cards to a regular Monday Card Madness blog post by June 29th in order to be eligible for our regular monthly drawing.)

Let’s do our part to help collect 50,000 cards! I’m way excited that I will be hand delivering my contribution of around 20 cards to their offices today!

Good luck!

Hampton Arts Design Adhesives | Monday Card Madness #43

If you missed them last time, you’re not going to want to miss today’s steal, the Hampton Arts Design Adhesives. Not only are these designs absolutely amazing for sprucing up everyday household items (like Staci Jones did recently the blog post found here) but they are equally as amazing for using on your everyday paper crafting projects.

For this week’s Monday Card Madness sketch I kept the design very basic so that the focus could be on the brilliance of the Design Adhesives.

On the first card I made I decided to use some flocking on the border. I love not only how it looks but the added tactile touch to the card is a lot of fun. I then finished up the card by adding some glitter to a circular design to create my flower.

I love the elegance of the corner designs.

And the multiple options to create a birthday- or celebration-themed card are so wide that the hardest part of making this card was settling on which designs to use.

Don’t forget to keep posting your Monday Card Madness creations. We will announce the winner for our July cards next Monday. August cards will need to be posted by Friday September 2nd at 11:59pm MST in order to be eligible for our monthly drawing.

I hope all of you are busy making cards for our 3rd ScrapbookSteals card swap!

If you missed the details here they are:

  • Create 10 cards. They can all be the same or each can be different.
  • All cards must include an envelope.
  • Cards must be received to the ScrapbookSteals warehouse by August 31st. (ScrapbookSteals, Attn: Card Swap, 2181 California, #400, SLC, UT  84104)
  • Once your cards have been sent in the mail, please send me an email to kristy@stealnetwork.com, to let me know that I need to be on the lookout for your amazing creations. I will then randomly re-distribute the cards and mail back 10 different cards to each participant.

Have a great day and we will see you tomorrow for another fantastic How To’sday. This time brought to us by Cyndee Kawa. Believe me! You will not want to miss it.

Sticker Graffiti | Mid Week Mojo #36

Sticker Graffiti | Mid Week Mojo #36

I adore today’s steal, the Glitz rubon and sticker collections. I love being able to add some flair to my project without having to think too hard and today’s steal delivers that flair in a flash! I let the graffiti feeling of several of the collections be the drive behind my layout.

I thought it would be unique to combine lots of the different designs on the left hand side of my page to create my own graffiti wall.

I am also crazy about the little bits of bling that are on some of the Glitz stickers.

It’s a great use of multiple stickers and rubons, don’t you think?

In today’s steal there are also a bunch of stickers which are specific for titles. I love adding a title to my layout with absolutely zero effort.

Once again, you girls knocked it out of the park with last week’s creations. Every week you seem to truly go above and beyond and I can’t wait to see what you create using this week’s Mid Week Mojo.  To enter the random drawing, comment on this blog post with a link to your photo of this week’s Mojo page (a link to a photo from our Facebook fan page or personal blog) no later than Monday, April 4th at midnight.

We’d like to congratulate Jessica Laureano, the lucky random winner of Mid Week Mojo #35.

Jessica, please send us an email to service@scrapbooksteals.com with your address and we will get your prize sent out to you.

I’m going to hang up my Mid Week Mojo hat for a week and let Staci Jones take the stage next week.  I can’t wait to see what she comes up with.

Hope you have a fantastic Wednesday!

A La Carte, What’s Your Pick? | Mid Week Mojo #35

A La Carte, What’s Your Pick? | Mid Week Mojo #35

There’s something I truly love about a la cart offerings, and today’s steal, the A La Carte collection kit by American Crafts collection is of no exception. It’s nice having a little bit of this and a little bit of that and this kit truly delivers just enough of so many different color schemes that it’s sure to please even the pickiest scrappers.

I was so drawn to the red, yellow and green combo that I used papers with those colors to create this week’s Mojo.

I love the combination of bold and subtle patterns which work so well together.

You can’t beat the booklet of alphabet rubons, which I used to create my title.

I switched the sketch up a little bit for my layout since I found I had more than a few sentences that I wanted to say.  I simply moved my title to the bottom of the page and added my journaling across the center of the layout.

The creations from last week’s sketch have truly been some of my favorites. It’s so fun to see you all offer ideas and inspiration to each other. And now for our lucky random winner.  Congrats to Charity Hotrum-Becker!

I hope you enjoy this week’s sketch as much as last week’s. I can’t believe we are half way through to our next big giveaway.  To enter, comment on this blog post with a link to your photo of this week’s Mojo page (a link to a photo from our Facebook fan page or personal blog) no later than Monday, March 28 at midnight in order to be eligible for our weekly drawing.

As always…scrap happy!  :)
