Ever get the feeling things just can’t get any better and than they do? Yep, me too! That’s how I felt back in November when I got that coveted e-mail from Kristy Lee. After squealing (quite loudly) I quickly replied that I would be honored to be a guest sketcher. Then Lisa suggested I create the first Mid Week Mojo of 2012 with Crate Paper, Restoration. My shabby chic diva self went into spasms of excitement. Sit down, strap in, and prepare for a fussy cutting fest, ‘cause Crate Paper and I―we had us a good time!
The first thing I did was fussy cut an entire sheet of doilies. There was just no question that these delicious shapes were going to figure largely in my projects. Then I got down to business and came up with this sketch.
I needed to fit four photos on the same page so I arranged a 7×7 block of photo sizes to accommodate my ideal. Of course, I scattered fussy cut and finger crimped doilies around the page.
My daughter’s third grade class has pen pal partners at a local assisted living facility. They write them letters regularly and once a month they load up the bus and take the kids to Tufte Manor for a party. They take pictures at each event and both the children and the pen pals get copies. I threw together an envelope album for Lori’s pen-pal to keep her letters in and display their pictures.
After trimming and tea staining four Open End Catalog Envelopes (instructions found here) I punched holes and used prong fasteners from Office Max to hold the envelopes together. Then I used this sketch to create the album pages.

To finish up I created some sweet little ATCs. Here are three of them.
This paper pack was fabulous to work with. The designs are so much fun and the paper has a wonderful textured finish on one side. What’s more, after all that creating I still have five full sheets left! Thanks Scrapbook Steals for this thoroughly enjoyable opportunity. Now get yourself over to the steals page and buy yourself some Crate Paper, Restoration. I can’t wait to see what you create with it.
