Pebbles Walnut Grove Collection | Mid Week Mojo

Amber – Week 6 of 10

New to Mid Week Mojo? Get started here!

Pebbles Walnut Grove Collection is such a bright, fun collection perfect for boys and girls! There are flowers, chevrons, plaid, and woodgrain patterns in a rich combination of reds, blues, yellows, pinks and grays. Mix and match the papers for whatever theme you want! The embellishments are pretty cool too! SO much fun to use – a great steal for everyone!

Here is this week’s sketch:

And here is my layout.

I love all of the brightly colored embellishmenats that come with this collection. There are lots of banners with title phrases on them, dimensional flowers and washi tape stickers. I switched out the button on this flower so that it would coordinate with the colors on my layout. That’s something I often do to ready-made embellishments – it just personalizes your layout at the same time.

Adding dimension and texture to scrapbooking layouts

Again, I used a dimensional flower in the opposite corner for some symmetry, and more washi tape stickers. Some of the washi tape has sentiments and phrases on them, which is perfect for adding that extra note.

I also used two of the tags in the collection I removed the top part of the tag and used them as the banner, along with two more dimensional stickers that I took apart! Makes for a cute banner, with some added faux stitching!

Pebbles Seen & Noted Collection

Our final Winter Design Team member is Lisa Spiegel! Lisa got to work with one of my favorites, today’s steal, the Pebbles Seen & Noted Collection. I just love the warm color combination and simple patterns in this collection. From red, turquoise, yellow and gray, to dots, stripes, flowers and speech bubbles – this collection has it all! Complete with library cards and pockets, journal cards, cardstock stickers and chipboard, this fun collection is perfect for any papercrafting project.

I was thrilled to have the opportunity to work with Pebbles “Seen and Noted” collection for my Scrapbook Steals collection this month!  I just love the bright colors with grey…such a current and fun twist on colors!  I created this layout using the stickers, the journaling dards, the paper, and an envelope.  I added some stitching and misting and my Cameo for the heart cut and I just love how it turned out!  I also love that I can hide my journaling in the cute envelope!

Next, I altered a new day planner for myself.  With a new year, it was time to get my new calendar and make it CUTE!  I found this one in the Dollar Section of my local Target:

But sadly, it’s not cute…so I took some time to break out the craft supplies to cutify it! (We have to have cute planners, right?)  The Pebbles Seen and Noted Collection days of the week paper and bright colors are perfect for my calendar.  They are super easy to do:

Step 1. Take your planner out of the plastic cover and measure it.

Step 2. Trim the first piece of paper the height of the planner.  Lay it down, the side you want to show down and lay the planner on top, lining up the right edge with the right edge of the planner, then wrap the paper to the front and gently fold it. Adhere it to the cover of the planner using a glue stick.

Step 3. Trim a second piece of paper to be 1/2 an inch wider than the spot you will cover and adhere it under the first piece of paper and to the cover of the planner.

Step 4. Cover the seam of the two papers with a decorative trim.  I used the UPC trim from another piece of paper from the collection…love that Pebbles made one side of them completely usable!  Glue it down.

Step 5. Now it’s time to embellish!  I chose to use this cute journaling card, a doily, a punch from the backside of the floral paper, a chipboard speech bubble and numbers to create this for the cover.  I cut the word “everyday” from my Silhouette Cameo and black cardstock.  It is nice to keep the embellishments flat for your planner.  Since you will be writing in it, bumpy embellishments won’t work well…layers of flat things work best!

Step 6. Place your planner back in the cover and add a binder clip to mark your place!  Then step back and admire your handiwork!!

And there you have it!  Your planner is now CUTE!
Next up, I created this layout of my oldest daughter. This time I created banners (by hand) and some leaves (with my Cameo)..I used some of the Pebbles stickers, too. I really love this line..even though it’s highly patterned, the graphic designs allow the photos to shine!

Lastly, I also created this cute little pop up Gift Card holder..

I used a Cameo cut for it…and popped a cute little journaling card with bling inside to personalize it.  I added Basic Grey magnets to keep it closed…and when the recipient opens it, the whole things slides up and out!  SO CUTE.

I had a great time working with this great collection…it’s so much fun!  Don’t miss out on this steal…it’s just fantastic!!

American Crafts Blog Idea Blowout!

If you’re like me you’ll be absolutely exuberant over today’s steal, the American Crafts Brands Archive Spectacular. American Crafts pretty much equals scrappy love. And since Pebbles, Studio Calico and Crate Paper are all also lumped into that awesome umbrella, I think you’ll find saying no to shopping today is going to be a wee bit difficult. Top it off with ScrapbookSteals’ Super Hero Shippers and, well, resistance is futile!

In an effort to spark those ideas and enable a little more purchasing (your husband said it was okay), I’ve put together easy links to some of my favorite blog posts by all four of the American Crafts companies.

Sit back, enjoy, and do a little blog surfing while you try and decide exactly which products you need. (Want isn’t really an issue, we all know it’s a need.)

American Crafts Pebbles Let Freedom Ring

Grab your sparklers and join us as our very own StealNetworker, Tedi Palmer, treats us to a firecracker guest designer posting using  American Crafts Pebbles, Let Freedom Ring collection. Tedi’s talents teamed up with the reds, whites and blues of today’s steal are nothing short of sizzling!

Tedi, my friend, take it away!

I have always loved American Crafts Pebbles products, and was ecstatic that I was given Let Freedom Ring Collection.

I really wanted to create something that wasn’t just an ordinary page. I wanted to use my paper to create some home decor because, let’s be honest, my house doesn’t have very much. :) Since my husband and I love motorcycles I thought it would be fun to create a little road trip that we’ve always wanted to take.

The patterned paper I used in the frame was perfect for creating a cute design for my home and showing a love for our country and motorcycles. Simple, yet perfect.

My next page is of my adorable husband, who was definitely “born 2 ride.” I have learned through scrapping that adding a bit of red to a page makes everything pop. Which, with my husbands shirt, a few stripes, banners, and a dazzling #2, did just that.

Since I created a page of my husband, I had to do one of me too. Though I am not a motorcyclist I had to show the hubby that I could actually hold up the bike and look like a total “biker babe” to him. The colors of this page are a definite favorite for me!

One thing I especially love about American Crafts Pebbles paper are those little strips that are always cut off on the 12×12 sheets. AC Pebbles takes full advantage of paper and you’re able to use those strips in your pages. That’s what I did with this next page:

I really loved working with Let Freedom Ring Collection, and it is a must have for the upcoming July 4th holiday!

Tedi, you are one amazing crafter! I am so in love with your home decor. I’m with you and my home seriously lacks the “pretty.” Maybe I need to take some lessons from you! :)

Have a great day everyone and I will see you tomorrow for some Mid Week Mojo fun!

Pebbles, Inc., Hip Hip Hooray

Being as it’s April 6th, I thought it would be fun to throw a little party around here. What’s April 6th you ask? Pretty much just another glorious Friday with the exception that today we are featuring Pebbles Hip Hip Hooray. And to top that heap of happiness off we have an extra surprise to add to our fun—a surprise guest blogger! Sit back and enjoy as Julie Ranae treats us to some amazing creations using today’s steal.

I am so happy to be your guest designer today for the fabulous Hip Hip Hooray collection from Pebbles. The colors in this collection are so vibrant and inspiring to create fun and happy cards! Here are just a few  projects I created just for you!

For this very dimensional card, I used Pebbles Dimensional Flowers and Banner Kit to create a colorful focal point on this card. The patterned papers called WooHoo, set the base for all the fun. With a stamped sentiment, a few additional embellishments and fun border punched at the bottom, it’s sure to make someone have a happy day.

Make a Wish is another another colorful card! Using Let’s Party patterned paper as a base, the sky’s the limit with how you can design with this collection. Placing the bright yellow dimensional flowers on top of a die cut really makes it pop! A handmade banner from cardstock with distressed edges creates more texture. Add the perfect stamped sentiment, and it’s ready to go!

Last but not least, the ultimate celebration card! I cut out individual sentiments from the Surprise patterned paper and layered each one on top of the Let’s Party base. Top with banners of your choice from the Banner Kit, add a little bling and Celebrate!

I absolutely loved working with this collection and if you love color, whimsy and just plain fun, I think you will too!

I would love to have you stop by my blog at Julie’s Open Window and check out the fine details on how these cards were created. Enjoy blog hops, tutorials, color challenges and so much more when you visit.

A big thanks to for welcoming me!
