My Mind’s Eye Kraft Funday Happy Days

For those of you that were swooning when we featured the Kraft Funday Everyday Fun kit by My Mind’s Eye, but were secretly hoping and waiting for the Kraft Funday Happy Days Collection, today is your lucky day! Today we are honored to be featuring designs from the My Mind’s Eye Design Team showing us just how fantastic that little splash of color combined with kraft can be.

Fun, fresh, and freakin’ fantastic describe this layout by Amber Packer. I love how perfectly the ticket stub border goes with the photos of her family trip to Disneyland. Add the stitching and the button clusters and I’m pretty sure that a happy day memory has been preserved to perfection.

Next up is Jana Eubank who shows us once again how fun the ticket stub border can be. I think I want to do something nice for Jana just so I can be the recipient of one of her amazing cards!

And if that weren’t enough to make you go wild over this collection check out the fun ornaments she made using Happy Days.

I have to hand it to the My Mind’s Eye designers. The circle garland that Tamara Jensen used on this stunning layout makes me want to pretty much set the kids in front of the TV on a continuous loop of cartoons or maybe even be nice and whip out the lincoln logs and bust out my crafty supplies.

And lastly we are treated with a simple yet stunning card by Anam Stubbington. I love a collection that makes creating something so gorgeous such a breeze! In short I love My Mind’s Eye. <3

My Mind’s Eye Lost and Found 2 | Mid Week Mojo

Amethyst – Layout 9

As I was sifting through the mountain of gorgeous papers and embellishments which are part of today’s steal, the My Mind’s Eye Lost and Found 2 Collection, I was really drawn to the embellishment in the Rosy collection that says “This is the Good Life.” After a somewhat stressful “vacation” this past weekend with the family, I pretty much decided that it would be many years before another family trip should transpire.

But then I got thinking about it a little more. It had been years since we were a complete family on a trip. Even though the weather didn’t cooperate, we still managed to more or less have fun. We traveled safe. We stuck to budget. We created some memories which happy ones will hopefully out weigh the stressful ones.  In short we have a great family and we have a good life.

That being said I thought it was only fitting to scrap some of the photos from our recent journey to Zion’s National Park, and the muted tones of today’s steal, really work great with the focus on nature.

I’m always a sucker for the My Mind’s Eye embellishments. They can completely turn around a pretty normal page into something with complete pizazz!

And I absolutely love the 4×6 photo overlays. What a simple addition to really add a ton to a layout, without overwhelming it.

Thank you My Mind’s Eye, once again for providing a collection that is perfection!

And speaking of perfection check out this weeks lucky random winner!

Julie Koets did a smashing job on shaking up last weeks sketch provided by Authentique. I love how she swapped out the hexagons for diamonds and used up lots of scraps of her Authentique collections.

My Mind’s Eye Kraft Funday Everyday Fun | Monday Card Madness #78

Sometimes I long for the brilliance and simplicity of childhood. My boys especially seem to find mischief fun in everyday things. (Remember the tie dye debacle in my layout last week?) Well, today’s steal, the Kraft Funday, Everyday Fun Kit by My Minds Eye is such a perfect collection to scrap those everyday fun moments of life, or to make a card to send the neighbor apologizing for my son dousing their dog in carpet cleaner. (Yes. That is also another truth-an entire bottle!) And what’s not to love about kraft? The perfect color to go with everything. Pair that with a bunch of gorgeous embellishments and childhood friendly designs, and you are set for all sorts of amazing creations.

I love the pinwheel and banner embellishments in today’s steal so much that I wanted to make them the focus of this weeks sketch.

On the first card I made I used the big chipboard pinwheels. I added a little inking around the edges to make them pop.

I’m crazy in love with the little wooden banner embellishments so on my next card I used one of them and added a little shimmer color to the tag.

And can you believe how cute this circle garland is? WOW!

I loved this collection so much that I had to create a couple more!

I just LOVE My Mind’s Eye. They can certainly turn an everyday into a FUNDAY.

And now I’m going to add a little bit of fun to one lucky card makers day. Kristin Hoffart! You are our lucky random winner for the March Monday Card Madness creations.

I love your card that was inspired by one of the amazing creations by Roree Rumph.

Kristin, if you would please send an email with your address to, and let them know that you are the March card winner, we will get a little scrappy goodness sent your way. Hooray for a funday!

Be sure to check in tomorrow for a spectacular tutorial by Jennifer McDermott.

My Mind’s Eye Follow Your Heart

I literally gasped when I saw today’s steal, the brand new CHA Release, Follow Your Heart, by My Mind’s Eye. Whether you need to scrapbook a page for a boy or a girl the Be Happy or Be Amazing collections are sure to meet your needs.

In fact I was so thrilled with this collection that I immediately thought of an incredibly talented crafty genius, Shaunte Wadley, and asked her if she would mind taking over today and showing each one of you how incredible the Follow Your Heart collections are.

Shaunte has got to have some of the cutest kids on the planet. Five of them to be exact. Like myself, she is lucky and has quite the bounty of subject opportunity. I love that she settled on photos of her beautiful 12-year-old daughter to create a layout using the Be Happy collection. This layout is so fantastic. Almost like looking at an I Spy book, since every time you look there are new amazing details to be found.

Shaunte Wadley

Shaunte is such a well-rounded crafter. Not only does she make amazing layouts with layers and layers of details but check out her mad crafty card skills!

And as if card making and awesome layouts weren’t enough―look at this wreath! 1×3″ strips of paper, folded, stapled and hot glued to a foam wreath.

Seriously, stunning. :)

Shaunte, wanted me to be sure to let you know one more thing. In her words:

“I also wanted to tell all your peeps over there, that I used the whole kit, and felt like it was worth every penny. Great value for the amount of projects you can squeeze out of it, and I am pretty cheap. You can quote me on that. Thanks for having me! It was fun.”

Shaunte, thank you SO much for creating for us today. Be sure to check out Shaunte’s blog for some pretty great humor (really. She’s hilarious and can make you feel like your life is completely normal!), along with an abundance of crafty inspiration, including her thoughts and some additional layouts created with today’s steal by My Mind’s Eye.

Check in tomorrow as our rockstar blog week keeps on a comin’! Tomorrow is our March guest Mid Week Mojo sketcher here at ScrapbookSteals, and once again, W-O-W!
