Bo Bunny Grab Bag | Monday Craft Madness #6

The Bo Bunny Grab Bag is jam-packed with all the Bo Bunny goodness you could possibly want! I received a mix of collections, with trinkets, brads, flowers and more. This week’s Monday Craft Madness theme is:

Use metal!

I chose to make a Christmas gift for a friend. The papers and trinkets worked out perfectly for me!

I started off by altering a plain wooden box. The Bo Bunny papers, with a little inking on the egdes worked so well together. A sentiment stamp, the trinkets and some plain ribbon just finished it off! I also inked and used some different Bo Bunny papers for the inside.

I then made a very simple journal. It was a plain paper mache journal that I inked and decorated with the Bo Bunny Papers and trinket. I used a border punch for the decorative edge and some sentiment tickets to finish it off.

I hope I have inspired you to use metal on your projects this week. It can be anything from trinkets, metal keys, brads – the possibilities are endless! Just remember to have fun! :)

Bo Bunny Mama-Razzi | Mid Week Mojo

Pearl – Layout 5

I think any of us scrapbookers that are also moms probably fall into the “Mama-Razzi” category. I mean, our kids are the cutest ones on the planet, right? And if they are the cutest then why not take 10 gajillion photos of them? My kids are pretty well trained to sit, pose, and show off for the never-ending clicks from this Mama-Razzi’s camera. Thankfully today’s steal, the Bo Bunny Mama-Razzi collection, is the perfect companion to make your little superstar shine!

Lucky for you and your shutter bug, I was a little ambitious and cranked out two sketches this week! I had a hard time choosing which photo to work with so I decided to do them both. The first layout I created was very much embellishment driven by this packed collection.

This collection is so bursting with chipboard, stickers and gems that I certainly wasn’t lacking for choices when creating. I also love how the blues and greens in this collection work perfectly with the photo of my silly dude and his watermelon head.

The second layout I created is light on the embellishments since this collection has enough distressing to hold its own.

One day we came home from a lunch date and found our “babysitter” having a little break! :) Good thing the kids are getting old enough to not be under sister’s watchful gaze at all times.

And guess what? I still have a ton of embellies and enough paper left to make at least a few more layouts. Guess I’d best get my mama-razzi on and start snapping more pics!

If you didn’t have a chance to swoon over all of the dazzling interpretations of Jen McDermott’s amazing sketches last week you should swing by our Facebook fan page and check out a few.

At least check out this week’s winners — Congrats to Michelle King Beaudry, the random winner of the Pearl 4a sketch! I love how she duplicated the sketch to create a 2 pager.

Monica Sigmon, you are the lucky random winner of the Pearl 4b sketch! I love the colors and the fact that you scrapbooked a little piece of older history!

Bo Bunny Ad Lib Collection | Mid Week Mojo

Turquoise – Layout 9

Chatty: that pretty much sums up my sweet 11 year old in a word. In fact, she’s so chatty that sometimes I have to remind myself to really focus and listen instead of turn on the automated mommy, “uh huh.” When I saw today’s steal, the Bo Bunny Ad Lib collection, and all of its charismatic colors and phrases, I realized how perfect it would be for a layout about my sweet Tessa and her sometimes incessant chatter!

Ironically, the very afternoon I decided to do the layout about my little talker, she came to me with some very heartbreaking news. News that no 11 year old should ever have to come to their mom with, yet sadly so common in this world we live in.  Even though it’s a tender and touchy subject, I decided to document the experience because I’m so proud of my little talker and her willingness to choose the right in this crazy thing called life, even if it did come with some equally heartbreaking side effects. I want her to know when she is a mom exactly what courage this took and to have something to show her kids when they find themselves in similar situations.

I decided the bracket paper that came with the collection was a little too busy for my wishes, so I cut out the center and adhered it to the top of the red ruled paper. Worked out perfectly for my journaling.

I then finished things up with some of the amazing embellishments (which smell good too). :)

Oh, and I love a collection that jives so well with some of my stash.

Bo Bunny Vicky B.

Hasn’t this week been absolutely amazing here at the ScrapbookSteals blog? Yeah, I think so too! And it’s not over yet. :) Today we have another spectacular guest blogger in the line up. Today Chris Gardenier takes us on an inspirational journey with today’s steal, the  Bo Bunny, Vicky B. collection.

Good morning everyone. This is Chris from Get Inspired With ChatterScene. I am so excited to be a guest designer at ScrapbookSteals!

For today’s blog post I was able to work with the Bo Bunny, Vicky B collection. I had so much fun working with it. I am used to using more masculine sets when I scrap because I have three boys, so it was a fun challenge trying to step out of my comfort zone and do something more feminine. I used this opportunity to scrap some pictures of me and my kids.

I had so much using the dimensionals that came with the the fun Vicky B kit I did two scrapbook pages!

And because I’m addicted to card making, I couldn’t resist throwing together two cards using this awesome set too. I wish I had time to do more.

I hope you enjoyed what I had to share today!

Chris, thank you so much for being our guest designer today! You truly rocked the feminine especially given the fact that you are a more masculine scrapper. Way to go!

Well, that’s it for me this week ScrapbookStealers! I hope you have a great weekend. I’ll be living it up as my last two days of a “thirty something” by running a 195 mile relay race! Layout to come I’m sure.

Have a great day.

Bo Bunny Blast Off! Collection

So the other day I was looking at my list of guest bloggers and realized that it was high time that our fabulous ScrapbookSteals.com buyer take her turn to share her talents. Brittany Perry totally rocks today’s steal, the Bo Bunny Blast Off! collection out of this world.

This feels a little surreal—guest blogging for ScrapbookSteals. When I purchased the darling Blast Off collection from Bo Bunny for all you amazing fans, never did I imagine that I’d be also showing ideas for how to use it! When Kristy subtly hinted that I should guest blog using this collection, I kind of chuckled at first, but then I looked at it closer, and with a different purpose in mind, and knew I had at least one picture that would be perfectly partnered up with Blast Off.

It just so happens that my son was a monkey astronaut for Halloween a year and a half ago, and with the cute little space monkeys mixed in this collection, I couldn’t NOT use some of our Halloween pictures with these papers!

I love the dimensional and chipboard stickers that are included. There are so many, and in a great variety of sizes.

My boys love our local amusement park—and the rides where they feel like they’re flying through space have been long time favorites. This picture has been sitting in my stack for several years, and I finally found papers and embellishments to compliment it!

I really wanted to make some cute birthday invitations as well, but I ran out of time. There are so many uses for this fun collection. It is very versatile, and is one of the cutest paper kits I’ve had the pleasure of working with in a long time!”

Brittany, not only do you know how to buy us awesome steals, but you know how to use em’ too! Way to go girl!

Be sure to check back tonight at 9pm as our Design Team Princess of the PM, Cyndee Kawa takes the stage.

Have a great day and a great weekend and I will see you on Monday with a pretty awesome line up for Monday Card Madness.
