Simple Stories Sn@p! Kits | Monday Craft Madness #19

There is a sort of movement sweeping through the Scrapbook world – Pocket Letters. I’ve been in awe for a while and finally decided to give it a try. I’ve seen friends participate and manufacturer blogs show them off. Today for Monday Craft Madness I decided to use Simple Stories Sn@p! Kit to make my own Pocket Letter….. So today’s theme is:

Pocket Letters

Create your own pocket letter or show us some you have received. Here’s what I created:

I chose the family kit and decided to create my pocket letter around my family and the mottos we live by (or at least try to). I chose this sheet protector from Simple Stories because it folds easily for mailing.

I love all of the pieces in these little kits, so many options for adding fun to your projects. Check out some close-ups of the cards.

I hope you decide to get some friends or family together and swap some pocket letters of your own.

Bo Bunny Boardwalk | Mid Week Mojo Tulip #7

Tulip – Week 7 of 10
New to Mid Week Mojo?  Get started here

If you love a traditional summer beachy collection with the calming classic elements, the all Bo Bunny Boardwalk Collection  is for you. The eclectic mix of colors and patterns along with the traditional anchors and sandcastles will evoke childhood memories of your beach vacations. For today’s Mid Week Mojo I decided to try to use the collection with a different sort of photo. This is little Zach just before he entered his ‘Terrible Twos’. I thought the title perfectly explained the ride his parents were about to take.

Here is the layout:

Here is the sketch:

Bo Bunny always has such fun collections with a little bit of vintage and modern thrown together. An eclectic mix of patterns and colors will add interest to your projects. This photo makes me remember the days when my kids were entering their terrible two phase…ahh the memories. The embellishments are always my favorite part, I just love adding texture and dimension using layered chipboard, brads, buttons and more.

A big congrats to Margaret Roberts, you are last week’s winner!

My Mind’s Eye Just Sayin’ | Monday Craft Madness #18

I have a problem with my scrapbook supplies. One that I believe all of us scrappers face. I make projects and have bits and pieces left from my collections – TONS OF PIECES. While on Facebook the other day I was reading posts from a group of awesome ladies preparing to get together for a weekend of scrappy fun. They decided to get together to create their own embellishments with their scraps to have on hand for future projects. A giant lightbulb went off, what an awesome idea. So today for Monday Craft Madness I used the Just Sayin’ Collection from My Mind’s Eye to make some embellishments….. So today’s theme is:

Home-Made Embellishment

Pull out your left-over papers, embellishments and punches and make something fun. Here’s what I created:

I used bits of papers & embellishments, some basic kraft die cuts, and my scalloped circle and flower punches. Just layer the pieces you love and have left over from a kit and voila! many little fun embellishments to be used on future projects. Take a closer look.

We would LOVE to see what home-made embellishments you create.

Simple Stories Summer Fun | Mid Week Mojo Tulip #6

Tulip – Week 6 of 10
New to Mid Week Mojo?  Get started here

Better late than never?? This Memorial Day Holiday messed up my inner schedule so we are a little late this week, hopefully you will forgive us.

Simple Stories is one of my favorite manufacturers. I love all of the collections they put out. Their ‘Simple Sets’ are some of the best. Little collections that are perfect for big memories. The Sea to Shining Sea Collection seemed perfect for today’s Mid Week Mojo I came across this awesome photo in the stack of Disney Vacation photos I got from our Angie. She got to share her Disney experience not only with her 2 year old and husband but also with her mom. What a great memory for them.

Here is the layout:

Here is the sketch:

I love simple sketches that you can take liberty to embellish. Using the journaling cards that come in collections these days are perfect for this type of layout.

The stickers included in this kit along with some pop dots and other basic embellishments take this patriotic-themed collection into a summer fun collection.

A big congrats to Sheryl Kloke, you are last week’s winner!
