Crate Paper Journey | Monday Craft Madness #27

The  Journey Collection from Crate Paper is a collection geared for travel and is perfect for that. Since I haven’t had any fabulous vacations this summer I decided to create something not exactly travel related for today’s Monday Craft Madness I keep seeing projects created with embroidery hoops and I love the idea so much I decided to give it a try. Along with my 2015 theme of self discovery I created something to put on my wall….. So today’s theme is:

Decor

Create something meaningful to you that you can hang in your space. Here’s what I created:

I love the bits of gold in this collection and those gold die cut states!  I almost wanted to make a US map to plot out a road trip. Maybe I still will…Check out some close ups of the fantastic products in today’s kit.

Crate Paper Craft Market | Mid Week Mojo Lilac #6

Lilac – Week 6 of 10
New to Mid Week Mojo?  Get started here

Today’s steal is the awesome Craft Market Collection from Crate Paper Thoughts of what to create for today’s Mid Week Mojo kept drifting back to this wonderful craft and how blessed I am to have it in my life. I have been in the scrapbooking & paper-crafting industry in one form or another for 15 years now (yes I started when I was 10). I have learned so much, met so many wonderful people and have cherished every moment. I wanted to create a page dedicated to this craft I love so much so I found a pic of my old craft studio.

Here is the layout:

Here is the sketch:

I fell in love with the Thickers created for this collection and decided to create a sort of ‘word search’ type of embellishment down the side.

I added some of the stickers and dimensional embellishments included in the collection kit and am pretty happy with the results.

The eclectic mix of paper designs in this collection, while scared me at first, is kind of fantastic. It brought a smile to my face. Here are some more close ups of the layout:

My Mind’s Eye My Story | Monday Craft Madness #26

This year has been a year of reflection for me. I’ve been wanting to create a place to write down the lessons I’ve learned about myself and life and the NEW My Story Collection from My Mind’s Eye  fis the perfect collection to start a journal. So for today’s Monday Craft Madness I decided to start a sort of mini album/journal to jot down all of the lessons I have learned this year. So today’s theme is:

Reflection

Create something about something you have learned about yourself, about life or about someone else. Here’s what I created:

I just used some 6″ x 8″ chipboard pieces, my cropadile and some binder rings. This way I can add to the book as the years go on. Check out some of the pages…

I love the modern color scheme with a bit of vintage flair in this collection. The touches of gold just brings a happy feminine sense as well.

Echo Park Paper Teacher’s Pet | Mid Week Mojo Lilac #5

Lilac – Week 5 of 10
New to Mid Week Mojo?  Get started here

I can’t believe that school is starting next month for us. I am even more shocked my baby is about to start high school. When I saw the new Teacher’sPet Collection from Echo Park Paper, I immediately thought of the cute old school photos of my adorable son, Nick. To try to find some inspiration I was perusing through Scrapbook and Cards Today magazine and found a layout with five photos on it and took some inspiration from that layout for today’s Mid Week Mojo I can’t believe my little boy is growing up so fast…

Here is the layout:

Here is the sketch:

The collection kit has all you need to create some awesome memories. The extra pieces like the stencils are quite cool, but this layout only included papers and stickers from the collection kit. Check it out closer.

A big congrats to Julie Koets, you are last week’s winner!

My Mind’s Eye Frightful | Monday Craft Madness #25

One of the hardest things for me each and every week is trying to decide what to create for the weekly Monday Craft Madness I usually lean towards cards, albums, tags…things like that. Today I wanted to go a little outside my own personal box and to my surprise I am happy with the end result. I used My Mind’s Eye’s Frightful Collection to make a wreath for my door. I kind of love it and love even more that I will have tons of papers & embellishments to still create cards, tags and more….. So today’s theme is:

Home Decor

Create something you can hang in your home and enjoy. Here’s what I created:

I added some tulle from my fabric stash to take away from the spookiness of the wreath. (Not that it’s really spooky) I love the chipboard pieces included in the kit, they are so sturdy and super sticky.

The enamel shapes in the form of bats – how could you not love that?

I can’t even handle how much I love that there are mustaches on the pumpkins and skeletons, brings a sense of unexpected whimsy.
