October Afternoon Eggnog | Monday Craft Madness #38

Christmas is just around the corner (say it isn’t so) and in my attempt to get into the holiday spirit I decided to create some things that made me smile. We are all looking for great tags during the holiday season, sometimes we have to create our own. The October Afternoon Eggnog Collection is a great nostalgic collection with some modern twists.  Today’s Monday Craft Madness theme is:

Tags

Create a tag or show us one of your favorite tags. Here’s what I created:

I am kind of in love with the puffy stickers. It brought me right back to my elementary school days when I would trade them with my friends. The traditional October Afternoon elements were great to add to these tags. The die cuts, stickers and enamel shapes, along with my favorite pop dots, made the tags super easy. Check out some close ups.

Teresa Collins Urban Market | Mid Week Mojo Gardenia #5

Gardenia - Week 5 of 10
New to Mid Week Mojo?  Get started here

One of my favorite collections over the past year has to be  Teresa Collins Urban Market I was so excited I got to use it for today’s Mid Week Mojo The rich blues and neutral accents make it a collection that can be used for almost any project. I saw this picture of my co-worker’s son and immediately wanted to use it with this collection. The baby belly made me smile, with all the rolls of baby goodness.

Here is the layout:

Here is the sketch:

I couldn’t decide on a title for this layout so two it is! With the awesome wooden die cut letters and the cardstock sticker letters, making two titles was easy. Using the chipboard elements, pop dots and stickers creating dimension was easy on this layout.

Who doesn’t love baby rolls?

Simple Stories Legacy | Monday Craft Madness #37

I love the sentiment of today’s steal.  Simple Stories Legacy Collection has a beautiful sentiment of looking to your past and your family. I fell in love with the look of the collection and the quotes included. The whole collection reminded me of how my grandma, aunts and cousins all got together to make quilts for everyone’s wedding showers. So today for Monday Craft Madness I created a little wall hanging that reminded me of those quilting days ….. So today’s theme is:

Memory

Create something that celebrates a favorite memory of yours. Here’s what I created:

I found an 8×10 frame at a local craft store on clearance for about a dollar. I turned it into a little shadow box and I can change the inside however often I would like. It’s hard these days to connect our children to their family’s past. I think it’s important. Hopefully this is a little reminder and I can work harder on that.  Check out some close ups of the project. As usual I am in love with my pop dots.

Bo Bunny Souvenir | Mid Week Mojo Gardenia #4

Gardenia - Week 4 of 10
New to Mid Week Mojo?  Get started here

When I think of the term Souvenir I think of something tangible that evokes a memory. I’m not sure if that’s the official definition, but it is for me. When I saw the new Bo Bunny Souvenir Collection I immediately thought of two pictures and a trip I took 10 years ago. My niece and I had baby boys 5 days apart and when they were little they were inseparable. They just turned 15 and we are very sad they are no longer little. I thought these pics would be perfect for today’s Mid Week Mojo I love remembering this trip and the excitement on these two little boys’ faces.

Here is the layout:

Here is the sketch:

I loved the bright colors in this travel-themed collection. It matched the little boys and the sentiment of the trip perfectly.

Bo Bunny always has awesome embellishments, the layered stickers and the chipboard pieces add dimension and interest to your projects.

The Noteworthy pack of die cuts has large and smaller pieces so you can use them as backgrounds as well as traditional die cuts.

The chipboard letters were perfect for our title. This leg of the trip was our travel leg so it seemed to match just right.

A big congrats to Karrie, you are last week’s winner!

Doodlebug Design Halloween | Monday Craft Madness #36

We have been enjoying our Annual Retreat the past few days (blog post about all the fun to come) and with all of the planning, prepping and partying I procrastinated in getting today’s project done.  I have to say a huge thank you to Van Nugyen, Erin Colby, Brenda Smith and Erin Shultz for spending the other night in my room at the retreat creating this project for me.  I love Doodlebug Design Halloween Collections  The cute, clean designs just remind me of Halloween when my kids were young.  In trying to reminisce those days I thoughf of this project, but luckily my friends and loyal ScrapbookSteals Fans actually did the creating for today’s Monday Craft Madness .… So today’s theme is:

Decor

Create something to display or show us your favorite. Here’s what I (they) created:

I love these printer trays for creating holiday decorations. They are a quick and easy way to create something fun and be able to see your creation all at the same time.  Here are some close ups:

The spider sticker and a pop dot makes a cute and scary-ish display. And those monster doodlepops, can they be any cuter?

Using the pattern papers and a little fussy cutting creates awesome little sections as well.

Some of the patterned papers that have cut out cards fit more than perfectly on their own in one of the sections.

This project turned out so cute, I just love our ScrapbookSteals fans, well family really. We are blessed here at Steals.com to call you all friends.
