We R Memory Keepers Punch Boards | Monday Craft Madness #45

Since working in the crafting world friends and family always seem to pick me for projects. This year my project is to create little gifts for all of the grandkids for the family Christmas party. So today for Monday Craft Madness I was excited tot ry to use the  We R Memory Keepers Punch Boards and Clearly Bold Acetate Paper to create some cute boxes for little gifts. Luckily for me, someone else has to buy the little gifts. So today’s theme is:

Clear

Create something with a clear element; a shaker box, a die cut or an entire clear box. Here’s what I created:

I chose the Candy Box Punch Board and I love the different sizes you can create with this board.

I have to admit that punching through the acetate was a little challenging, but I love the result.  I can’t wait for the kids to try to steal each other’s presents since they can sort of see through the packaging.

The boxes were actually pretty easy to make, these punch boards are genius and once you get the hang of it you can create boxes, candy boxes, gift bags, and pillow boxes for days.  Instructions for all of the punch boards can be found here. Go create!

Lifestyle Crafts Evolution Advanced | Monday Craft Madness #41

Since today starts Gift Week here at Steals.com, we wanted to show off the new Lifestyle Crafts Evolution Advanced Die Cutting System to Now, this die cutting machine has super cool advanced features we want to share with you all. So today for Monday Craft Madness we don’t have a typical theme, we just wanted to share…

The new Evolution Advanced includes the following features:

  • Suction cup feet for no slip cranking
  • Easy fold up design for lightweight, on-the-go crafting
  • Extra built in storage to organize crafting supplies
  • Optional hand crank or motor system

Check out some things you can make with this awesome machine:

With the simplicity of a turn dial system, crafters can die-cut, letterpress and emboss without the hassle of figuring out which mat combinations to use. Instead, the adjustable dial system not only adapts to each craft medium, but specifically to the thickness of the paper also. “There’s no longer a need to use multiple mat combinations for each type of project, and no other tool out there does all of that,” ecstatically explains We R Memory Keepers President Andrew Hiller. He continues, “The new Evolution Advanced literally changes how crafters create with one tool, one mat, and one turn dial system, so they can focus on creating.”

The Evolution Advanced has an attachable motor (sold separately). This gives crafters the option of converting the Evolution Advanced into a motorized tool or leaving it as a hand crank system, by simply snapping and locking the handle or motor in place, and then storing the handle in one of its side storage compartments.

The Evolution Advanced is lightweight and portable with a fold up or fold down design, making it perfect for stay-at-home or on-the-go crafting. When the Evolution Advanced is folded down, the suction feet on its underside securely hold the tool in place. The Evolution Advanced is also compatible with most leading brand die-cuts, embossing folders, and platforms.

Use the dies offered on today’s steal to create your own custom gift boxes this holiday season. Imagine these created out of Holiday Pattern Papers?

We R Memory Keepers It Factor | Monday Craft Madness #40

When we get a collection to feature on ScrapbookSteals.com one of my favorite things to do is scour the internet trying to see what brilliant crafters have done with the product. The process always simultaneously inspires me and makes me feel lame because they are always better than I can do. When I was looking at We R Memory Keepers’ It Factor I loved all of the really cool embellishments including wooden die cuts, clear acrylic stickers and plastic alphabet blocks. I found an awesome blog post over on the We R Blog by their design team member Aly Dosdall that shows off these awesome embellishments and what you can do to them. So today’s for Monday Craft Madness theme is:

Home-Made Embellishments

Create or alter your own embellishments. Layer stickers, cut die cuts out of paper, or just alter some of your favorites. Check out the layout Aly created:

The layout of Aly’s daughter’s new glasses is bright and fun, but look a little closer at all of the home made embellishments. With the “teal trunk” paper from the collection she used her circle cutter to make die cuts.

She then decided to fancy up the acrylic stickers to help them stand out a little more by using a coloring tool and permanent ink.

Aly also used the positive and negative alphabet blocks for her title. I love the eclectic look these letters add to the layout.

We R Memory Keepers Little One | Mid Week Mojo Gardenia #6

Gardenia – Week 6 of 10
New to Mid Week Mojo?  Get started here

TWhen that little one arrives in your life, you want to savor every single minute. I love the  We R Memory Keeper’s Little One Collection It is perfect to save all of those little moments. Since it has mostly a neutral color pallette with hints of pink and blue, it’s perfect for any little baby. For today’s Mid Week Mojo I once again got to use some photos of my co-worker’s baby boy. These pics make me just want to squish him. Luckily thoug they don’t quite make me baby hungry. I wanted to keep the embellishing to a minimum so the photos could shine.

Here is the layout:

Here is the sketch:

The plastic alphabet in this collection is really cool, you can use either the positive or negative space and the white color makes it blend into the soft background so your eyes stay on the awesome photos.

The wooden die cut embellishments make my heart happy. Not only are the images and sayings awesome, but the colors and images are so cool. Wood embellishments have gone to the next level.

A big congrats to Staci Jones you are last week’s winner!

We R Memory Keepers Jet Set | Mid Week Mojo Pansy #5

Pansy – Week 5 of 10
New to Mid Week Mojo?  Get started here

Today marks the last day of our month long guest sketches from the fabulous Brenda Smith I for one am sad to see her go, but I have loved each and every sketch she has created for us. This week she used We R Memory Keepers Jet Set Collection for her last Mid Week Mojo of July.

Good morning everyone. Today marks the last week of my guest sketching and I want to thank each of you for having me and for playing along. I have truly enjoyed myself and have loved seeing what you’ve all created. I must admit that today’s collection, WRMK’s Jet Set, is definitely a favorite of mine. You don’t often see purple in scrapbook supplies and I think the purple, blue, green, and orange combination is unexpectedly gorgeous. It’s perfect for masculine or feminine projects, travel and non-travel themed pages both. And because today is my last week, I’ve decided to provide two different sketches and layouts, Pansy 5A and Pansy 5B. Choose one or the other or do both for double the entries into this week’s prize drawing :)

First, Pansy 5A:

And my layout:

My lovely friend Melissa took this (auto-timed) picture of us while we were visiting a garden in downtown SLC during last year’s Scrapbook Steals crop. I’ve been waiting for the perfect time to scrap it and when I saw these papers and embellishments, I knew it was time. I love all the globe-themed embellishments.

I love how the stickers have a slight dimension and texture to them.

My second sketch, Pansy 5B:

And my layout:

A ton of layering is not usually my style but there are so many fun patterned papers in this collection that I couldn’t let any go to waste. I enjoyed putting a bunch of patterns together to get a graphic punch without feeling like the page was overwhelmed.

I cut out some tags from a patterned paper for embellishments and I think it turned out perfectly. And aren’t those chipboard alphas fabulous?!

As always, I’m looking forward to seeing your creations. Thanks again for having me this month!

-Brenda
