How To-sday | Add a Circular Window

Today’s How To-sday post comes from the fabulous Charity Hotrum.  I have admired her style for quite some time now.  I even got to meet her in person at the Mall of America last year.  Charity and Judy took one of the classes I taught.  Hanging out with them was definitely a highlight from my trip!

Here we go, check out what Charity has created.

Circular Window

Layering circle cut frames of cardstock makes a great base for a one-of-a-kind layout. Add a little scrapbooking mist and you’ll discover how easy it is to distress and curl your paper in one easy step.

Supplies needed:

  • 10 inch dinner plate with a deep rim
  • 3 sheets of 12 x 12 cardstock
  • Scrapbooking Mist
  • Assorted Brads
  • Circle Cutter

Directions:

How Tosday Charity 1

Step 1:Cut a 9.5 inch circle from the exact center of the back of a sheet of cardstock.

Step 2:Lay the cardstock over the dinner plate and spritz the edge of the circle.

How Tosday Charity 3

Step 3:Turn the cardstock over and curl the edges of the circle away from the hole.

Step 4:Cut a 9.5 inch circle from the exact center of a second piece of cardstock.

How Tosday Charity 4

Step 5:Layer the three sheets of cardstock so that the misted sheet is on the top and the uncut sheet is underneath. Attach the stacked cardstock with the brads.

Step 7:Stitch around the edge of the circular window, add photo, and embellish.

We R Memory Keepers 6×6 Printed Albums | Monday Craft Madness #22

We R Memory Keepers’ 6×6 Albums are of the highest quality.  It was an easy choice when I was deciding what to do for my mom for Mother’s Day.  Moms and grandmas love pictures of their kids and grand kids. I wanted to put a little album together with all of the great-grand kids and a 6×6 album from We R Memory Keepers is the perfect size for this project! Now for our Monday Craft Madness theme:

Gift Giving!

Create something you will give to someone else, create a layout or mini album about a gift you received, make a card you will send to someone special, anything you can think of!

For my gift for my mom, I chose the Retrospect 6×6 album because of the gender-neutral color scheme and pattern.

I decided to add to the cover to make it more personal.  Don’t be afraid to personalize your albums with papers and embellishments.

6×6 pages are quick and easy to make.  With our standard photo size being 4×6, a little trimming, matting and a few embellishments are all you will need to complete your inner pages.

These are three of the great-grand kids…aren’t they cute?

Pebbles Sunnyside Collection Monday Craft Madness #20

The Pebbles Sunnyside Collection reminds me of summer time.  The bright colors and happy embellishments make me think of warmer days and outdoor parties with my family.  This week’s Monday Craft Madness theme is…

Family Time!

Use family as your theme, inspiration or title of your projects.  We all have one and we all love them!

I created a set of table items for our first barbecue.  We love to cook and eat outside in the summer, now we can do it with a little added splash of color.

Pebbles Sunnyside Crafts Main

I created a menu card using the corrugated alphabet and pattern papers.  I love the corrugated alphabet.  The dimension added is just the perfect amount.  Now I don’t have to think of our first menu!

I love the flower embellishments in this Pebbles Sunnyside Collection kit.  The 3-D effect takes projects to the next level. .

We always have a fight at our table for chairs.  Sometimes there’s shade and sometimes not.  I made some little place cards so there will be no arguing this year.  See how I added dimension with pop dots and the stickers?

We use the same caddy for our napkins and utensils each year.  This caddy is boring and white, but not any more.  I added the bright and happy patterned papers and a few embellishments.  Now our table will be as bright and sunny as the weather will (hopefully) be soon.

Pebbles Sunnyside Crafts Napkins

Celebrate the season and your family this week and use Pebbles Sunnyside Collection as a little bit of inspiration.

And in case you haven’t had a chance to join in with the Monday Craft Madness themes this month, don’t forget you have until 26th April to play along. Here are the themes so far:
