Teresa Collins Designs Masquerade Party | Monday Craft Madness #32

I realized that we have not done a color challenge in quite a long time. I normally look to projects to be a certain type of project rather than a certain color, but I have an awesome friend who’s favorite color is orange, so in honor of  her, the color of the day is Orange. Today we are reviewing a project I made last year with Teresa Collins’ Masquerade Party ….. Remember today’s theme is:

Orange

Create something with orange, or about a favorite orange thing, or even about oranges. Here’s what I created:

I was able to make this mini album using the papers from this collection as well as the file folders, you could also use the treat bags as pages.

All of  the chipboard pieces, stickers and die cuts make for easy embellishing.

I love creating things earlier than you need them, I feel so accomplished like I actually finished something.

A little bit of ribbon and some rings and ta-da and album made in a snap. Check out the rest of the pages:

Teresa Collins You Are My Happy | Mid Week Mojo Pansy #7

Pansy - Week 7 of 10
New to Mid Week Mojo?  Get started here

What makes you happy? For me, this list is long…after family and friends I enjoy lazy days watching reality tv, playing candy crush and snacking on salty treats. For most of us family or friends makes us the happiest. This  You Are My Happy Collection from Teresa Collins is the perfect collection to create a layout showing exactly who makes you happy. For today’s Mid Week Mojo I found some awesome pics from a co-worker that show exactly how new baby Liam makes her so very happy.

Here is the layout:

Here is the sketch:

I love the pack of borders in this kit and just had to use one as my title, but in addition to the awesome borders are tons of other embellishments. From chipboard and brads to enamel dots and sequins, the perfect addition to your project is on hand.

The included cupcake toppers are for more than just cupcakes. I decided to use a couple as an embellishment on the page, I love how easy they are to work with and all the dimension they add.

Teresa Collins Daily Stories | Mid Week Mojo Pansy #6

Pansy - Week 6 of 10
New to Mid Week Mojo?  Get started here

It’s no secret that Teresa Collins has some of my favorite collections to craft with. Today I got to use Daily Stories for the  Mid Week Mojo I wanted to give myself a little challenge, so I decided to use a photo of a co-worker’s son even though this collection has tons of pink accents. It was a little bit of a challenge for me to choose patterns and colors that were a little less feminine. I am happy with the results and the little bit of pink on this little boy layout is kind of awesome.

Here is the layout:

Here is the sketch:

I am so in love with the pack of tags that Teresa Collins is including in her collections these days. They have great patterns and sayings and are the perfect size to fussy cut if necessary. There are three pieces of tags on this layout, after a little bit of fussy cutting I love the result.

I love using chipboard to add dimension to my projects, combined with the carstock stickers and a little bit of sequins, it makes for a great cluster of embellishments.

A big congrats to Anglea Asmus, you are last week’s winner!

Sneak Peeks From Our Favorite Brands

Last week I was able to go to a little trade show, right here in Salt Lake City. I have been in and around the crafting world for over a decade and this is the first time I was able to attend a show without boarding an airplane first. This was a small show and closed to the public, so I thought I would show a little of what I was able to see from some of our favorite brands. (Please excuse some of my iPhone photos)

My Mind’s Eye

Echo Park & Carta Bella Paper

I have been trying to pick a favorite for days now, but I just can’t.  Do you have a favorite? Let us know!

Teresa Collins Hello My Name Is | Mid Week Mojo Pansy #3

We have the awesome  Brenda Smith back with us again using Teresa  Collins Hello My Name Is for today’s Mid Week Mojo

• • • • •

Good morning everyone! Brenda here with yet another sketch. I was excited upon seeing Teresa Collins’ “Hello My Name Is” because there are numerous elements that would lend themselves well to Project Life spreads, but what excited me even more was realizing how versatile those elements were. It inspired me to create a sketch that could put some of those 3×4 journal cards to use on a layout.
I have two variations of the sketch today. The first is with a traditional landscape 4×6 photo.
This was initially the direction I was going to go with my layout, but over the weekend my husband and I went on a quick trip to the mountains above our city and I got a great panorama photo that I wanted to scrap. So I modified the sketch a little to include a longer photo.
Here is my layout:
I used Photoshop Elements to size my photo and printed it out on 8.5″x11″ photo paper and trimmed down to size. If you are without photo editing software, you could use a free program such as Picasa to make a landscape 8×10 collage and use the top 2/5ths to insert your panorama and then print at your favorite photo lab. If you need more help figuring out how to print one, feel free to ask in the comments here or on the Scrapbook Steals Facebook page.
I just had to use some of the 3×4 cards so I used one title card and one with journaling space. Also, there’s this perfect sheet of patterned paper full of polaroid frames that I cut up to use in place of the journal spots. I had extra photos that I wanted to include so I thought these frames would be the perfect way to feature them.
I finished off the layout with some of the chipboard stickers, sequins, and enamel dots from this collection. There are so many cute, usable embellishments in this line!
Thanks for stopping by and I look forward to seeing your creations this week!
