My Mind’s Eye Just Sayin’ | Monday Craft Madness #18

I have a problem with my scrapbook supplies. One that I believe all of us scrappers face. I make projects and have bits and pieces left from my collections – TONS OF PIECES. While on Facebook the other day I was reading posts from a group of awesome ladies preparing to get together for a weekend of scrappy fun. They decided to get together to create their own embellishments with their scraps to have on hand for future projects. A giant lightbulb went off, what an awesome idea. So today for Monday Craft Madness I used the Just Sayin’ Collection from My Mind’s Eye to make some embellishments….. So today’s theme is:

Home-Made Embellishment

Pull out your left-over papers, embellishments and punches and make something fun. Here’s what I created:

I used bits of papers & embellishments, some basic kraft die cuts, and my scalloped circle and flower punches. Just layer the pieces you love and have left over from a kit and voila! many little fun embellishments to be used on future projects. Take a closer look.

We would LOVE to see what home-made embellishments you create.

October Afternoon Eggnog | Monday Craft Madness #38

Christmas is just around the corner (say it isn’t so) and in my attempt to get into the holiday spirit I decided to create some things that made me smile. We are all looking for great tags during the holiday season, sometimes we have to create our own. The October Afternoon Eggnog Collection is a great nostalgic collection with some modern twists.  Today’s Monday Craft Madness theme is:

Tags

Create a tag or show us one of your favorite tags. Here’s what I created:

I am kind of in love with the puffy stickers. It brought me right back to my elementary school days when I would trade them with my friends. The traditional October Afternoon elements were great to add to these tags. The die cuts, stickers and enamel shapes, along with my favorite pop dots, made the tags super easy. Check out some close ups.

My Mind’s Eye Christmas in July | Monday Craft Madness #27

Using the Christmas in July theme this month, I am getting the Christmas Spirit more and more. Visions of presents, Santa, ornaments, holly and trees just make me smile. I thought I would get a head start on my gift tags. Today for Monday Craft Madness I used My Mind’s Eye Christmas in July – Mistletoe Magic to make….. So today’s theme is:

Tags

Create a tag, show us your favorite tag, or create something Christmas-ey or Holiday-ey. Here’s what I created:

I love all of the different papers and embellishments in this kit. With the stickers, chipboard, washi tape and decorative brads, the layering came easy on these tags.

I found a few things from my own stash; ribbons, flowers and glitter glue, and lace tape, but with those few things I think the tags came out awesome.

Echo Park Paper Simple Life | Monday Craft Madness #22

It seems like we are always trying to simplify our lives. Our schedules are so full of stuff, trying to find time for simple things gets more and more difficult. This  Echo Park Paper Simple Live collection reminds me of how much I love simple things. It’s making me want to create more time for the simple things in life. Today for Monday Craft Madness I decided to make some tags and then decided to turn them into a mini album with one ring. So today’s theme is…

Tags

Create something out of some tags, a mini album, a wall hanging or whatever you can think of. Here’s what I created:

Here are some close ups of the tags. I had fun creating different sizes and shapes of tags.

With a few pop dots and the stickers, I was able to create dimension and interest on each of the tags.
