October Afternoon Eggnog | Monday Craft Madness #38

Christmas is just around the corner (say it isn’t so) and in my attempt to get into the holiday spirit I decided to create some things that made me smile. We are all looking for great tags during the holiday season, sometimes we have to create our own. The October Afternoon Eggnog Collection is a great nostalgic collection with some modern twists.  Today’s Monday Craft Madness theme is:

Tags

Create a tag or show us one of your favorite tags. Here’s what I created:

I am kind of in love with the puffy stickers. It brought me right back to my elementary school days when I would trade them with my friends. The traditional October Afternoon elements were great to add to these tags. The die cuts, stickers and enamel shapes, along with my favorite pop dots, made the tags super easy. Check out some close ups.

My Mind’s Eye Christmas in July | Monday Craft Madness #27

Using the Christmas in July theme this month, I am getting the Christmas Spirit more and more. Visions of presents, Santa, ornaments, holly and trees just make me smile. I thought I would get a head start on my gift tags. Today for Monday Craft Madness I used My Mind’s Eye Christmas in July – Mistletoe Magic to make….. So today’s theme is:

Tags

Create a tag, show us your favorite tag, or create something Christmas-ey or Holiday-ey. Here’s what I created:

I love all of the different papers and embellishments in this kit. With the stickers, chipboard, washi tape and decorative brads, the layering came easy on these tags.

I found a few things from my own stash; ribbons, flowers and glitter glue, and lace tape, but with those few things I think the tags came out awesome.

Echo Park Paper Simple Life | Monday Craft Madness #22

It seems like we are always trying to simplify our lives. Our schedules are so full of stuff, trying to find time for simple things gets more and more difficult. This  Echo Park Paper Simple Live collection reminds me of how much I love simple things. It’s making me want to create more time for the simple things in life. Today for Monday Craft Madness I decided to make some tags and then decided to turn them into a mini album with one ring. So today’s theme is…

Tags

Create something out of some tags, a mini album, a wall hanging or whatever you can think of. Here’s what I created:

Here are some close ups of the tags. I had fun creating different sizes and shapes of tags.

With a few pop dots and the stickers, I was able to create dimension and interest on each of the tags.

Fantastic Friday | My Mind’s Eye Cut & Paste

I am privileged to be a part of several groups on Facebook made up of very creative women.  We all love this hobby of scrapbooking and love to share our creations. One of these groups has a tag swap several times a year. I wish I had time to participate, but I love seeing all of the creations.  I thought that My Mind’s Eye’s Cut & Paste Collection is the perfect collection to have my own little tag swap. The eclectic mix of papers and embellishments create wonderful variety in projects.

Tags are great to have around for putting on gifts or just hanging up in your cubicle at work to bring a smile to your face.

The Flair Collection has just a hint of chalkboard along with soft pastel colors for a perfect contrast. The Presh Collection is a fun eclectic mix of colors and patterns that all just work together.

These tags are so cheery that I think I will keep them in my office to brighten my day.

The dimension from the chipboard and layered stickers makes for greater interest in your creations. Check out some close ups.

Maya Road Fabric & Lace Tape | Monday Craft Madness #11

By now we all have a stash of decorative tape.  Big or small, you’ve got a collection going. Well, now I have now found a new apple-of-my-decorative-tape-eye. Don’t get me wrong, I love me some washi tape, but Maya Road Fabric & Lace Tape is my new favorite. The fabric is thick and the dots are so cute! The lace comes with adhesive already there, but just in the middle so the texture of the lace isn’t stuck all the way down. I couldn’t make up my mind on what to make for today so I decided to go into my stash of bare chipboard and wooden shapes to fancy them up. Now I have several pieces ready to go on a project….. So today’s theme is:

Embellishments

Create your own little (or big) embellishments or show us some of your favorites. Chipboard and wood are what I am obsessed with right now, so here’s what I created:

The self adhesive nature of the fabric and lace makes it so easy to just add a little bit of pizzazz to an embellishment.

Alternate colors to create a little interest, or add a little tape to the bottom of a tag so you have a birthday present tag all ready to go.

I also decided to make a couple of little note cards to keep in my stash.  A little bit of paper and some tape creates a quick and easy card.
