Simple Stories So Fancy | Mid Week Mojo Lilac #2

Lilac – Week 2 of 10

We alway seem to be looking for good, basic boy and girl collections. We do, after all, seem to scrapbook for our kids adventures the most. I have totally fallen in love with  Simple Stories’ So Rad & So Fancy Collections It was perfect for today’s Mid Week Mojo The one year photos of the adorable Jovi seemed perfect to match the girly So Fancy collection

Here is the layout:

Here is the sketch:

Simple Stories always has such great collections and embellishments that match, this collection is no exception. From stickers to enamel dots, I fell in love one embellishment at a time.

The chipboard frames are great for adding dimension and extra photos to a layout. Show off that cute face with the different sizes of frames.

As always a little pop dot goes a long way. Along with the Bradz and enamel dots, the ephemera die cuts can create some awesome embellishment clusters on your project.

The base of this particular paper created a perfect title for the layout. I just added some of the chipboard stickers and changed the title from ‘fancy’ to ‘fancy girl’.

A big congrats to Margaret Roberts, you are last week’s winner!

Simple Stories Smarty Pants | Mid Week Mojo Tulip #9

Tulip – Week 9 of 10
New to Mid Week Mojo?  Get started here

It’s the end of the school year for most of us. Our kids’ have cleaned out their desks and lockers and brough home tons of papers. Now they are home All. The. Time. I seem to have collected school photos each and every year for all three of my kids. With how old they are, that’s 30+ school photos. Not the best backgrounds, the kids never combed their hair or wore nice clothes. I can’t seem to throw them all away. Then I saw the Smarty Pants Collection from Simple Stories I’ve seen the collection before, but this time I had sort of an epiphany. I will use this collection, the same sketch (flip it for each year) and create abook of these photos. Today’s Mid Week Mojo makes me smile. Nicholas’ Kindergarten photo.

Here is the layout:

Here is the sketch:

I flipped around the sketch a couple of different ways and was able to do my son’s First and Second Grade photos as well.

Simple Stories always has great stickers, journaling cards and patterned papers so you can create dozens of layouts for your school photos.

Just imagine a full album where you can put all of these school photos that show the grown of those beautiful kids.

A big congrats to Christina Steel, you are last week’s winner!

Simple Stories Sn@p! Kits | Monday Craft Madness #19

There is a sort of movement sweeping through the Scrapbook world – Pocket Letters. I’ve been in awe for a while and finally decided to give it a try. I’ve seen friends participate and manufacturer blogs show them off. Today for Monday Craft Madness I decided to use Simple Stories Sn@p! Kit to make my own Pocket Letter….. So today’s theme is:

Pocket Letters

Create your own pocket letter or show us some you have received. Here’s what I created:

I chose the family kit and decided to create my pocket letter around my family and the mottos we live by (or at least try to). I chose this sheet protector from Simple Stories because it folds easily for mailing.

I love all of the pieces in these little kits, so many options for adding fun to your projects. Check out some close-ups of the cards.

I hope you decide to get some friends or family together and swap some pocket letters of your own.

Simple Stories Summer Fun | Mid Week Mojo Tulip #6

Tulip – Week 6 of 10
New to Mid Week Mojo?  Get started here

Better late than never?? This Memorial Day Holiday messed up my inner schedule so we are a little late this week, hopefully you will forgive us.

Simple Stories is one of my favorite manufacturers. I love all of the collections they put out. Their ‘Simple Sets’ are some of the best. Little collections that are perfect for big memories. The Sea to Shining Sea Collection seemed perfect for today’s Mid Week Mojo I came across this awesome photo in the stack of Disney Vacation photos I got from our Angie. She got to share her Disney experience not only with her 2 year old and husband but also with her mom. What a great memory for them.

Here is the layout:

Here is the sketch:

I love simple sketches that you can take liberty to embellish. Using the journaling cards that come in collections these days are perfect for this type of layout.

The stickers included in this kit along with some pop dots and other basic embellishments take this patriotic-themed collection into a summer fun collection.

A big congrats to Sheryl Kloke, you are last week’s winner!
