Authentique Paper Original | Friday Design Team Project

Design Team Member Staci Jones is with us today for her first post. Staci has been in our ScrapbookSteals community since the beginning.  I for one just love seeing her work! Staci is working with Authentique Paper’s Original Collection.  This collection is very versatile and Staci shows you how!

I am so excited to share with you my first Design Team post. Not only do I love Scrapbooksteals, but I just love today’s steal!

I have a little boy who loves football, especially our favorite college team whose colors happen to be blue and white. This poor little boy has been in a poorly decorated bedroom for the last couple of years because I just couldn’t find the right decorations. Then Melodee handed me Authentique’s Original Collection. Immediately, I knew that is was just what my little boy’s room needed.

After a couple hours spent in my craft room with my Silhouette, some ink, cardstock, and Original, my son has a room that is finally decorated to suit his football love.

I used some football images from the Silhouette store cut out on cardstock and adhered to either the 12×12 or 6×6 sheets of original to make some easy framed images and wall hangings.

I love banners and really wanted one with the team name for his wall. Super easy and quick to make.

Because it is a football room, the room wouldn’t be complete without a football and a a flipbook with his football game pictures.

My little boy loves his room, my husband loves the room, I love the room, and I still have plenty of paper left over to do some great football layouts for his scrapbook!

Thanks for joining me today!

Thanks Staci!  I love how you could decorate a room with one kit.  What an awesome job!  Make sure to come back on Monday to see a project using a little bit of this and a little bit of that.

Simple Stories Scrapbooking in a Snap | Monday Craft Madness #25

Simple Stories has brought Scrapbooking in a Snap to a whole new level.  The Snap Pages and Memorabilia Pockets helped create a quick and easy family album.  I chose the Harvest Lane collection with the 6×6 paper pad, Snap Pages and Memorabilia Pockets.  The reduced designs in the 6×6 pad are perfect for layering.  That is this week’s Monday Craft Madness Theme:

Layering

Layering is a great way to get more color and pattern to your projects.  Recently we had an awesome how to from Charissa Miller showing how she layers on her projects.  I was a bit inspired and created this family mini album.  Introducing the Perry Family…

Perryfamily-3156

I used different sizes and shapes of different patterns from the 6×6 pads to create the layers around the photo.  The 6×8 Snap Pages are the perfect size for this album of family pictures.

Perryfamily-3151

Use the Memorabilia Pockets to add extra tags, notes or other items to your album

Perryfamily-3152

The patterns on the Snap Pages make for easy pages.  Use the base pattern as one of your layers.

Now go get layering!  It’s a fast and easy way to add interest to your projects.

We R Memory Keepers 6×6 Printed Albums | Monday Craft Madness #22

We R Memory Keepers’ 6×6 Albums are of the highest quality.  It was an easy choice when I was deciding what to do for my mom for Mother’s Day.  Moms and grandmas love pictures of their kids and grand kids. I wanted to put a little album together with all of the great-grand kids and a 6×6 album from We R Memory Keepers is the perfect size for this project! Now for our Monday Craft Madness theme:

Gift Giving!

Create something you will give to someone else, create a layout or mini album about a gift you received, make a card you will send to someone special, anything you can think of!

For my gift for my mom, I chose the Retrospect 6×6 album because of the gender-neutral color scheme and pattern.

I decided to add to the cover to make it more personal.  Don’t be afraid to personalize your albums with papers and embellishments.

Studio Calico Classic Calico Volume 3

Winter Design Team member Bev Code is back with us today for her final, awesome reveal! Bev got to work with the Studio Calico Classic Calico Volume 3 Collection and she shows us just how amazingly versatile this collection is. She will wow you with a mini album, a card and a layout too!

Hi! It’s Bev here today. I am thrilled to share what I did with the Studio Calico 6×6 pad of Clasic Calico pappers. Starting with an item I could alter, a Plaid Enterprises Magic Slide Picture Book, I recovered the whole project with the amazing choices of paper that mixed and matched. It was perfect color hues for Ancestry and Old Family Photos.

DIY handmade mini album using SC Classic Calico Vol 3
On the inside flip pages I used some punching, minimal layers, shapes, strips, borders and cute accents finished off pages. On the outside however I used a few more textured and depth accents, and added the titles to front and back. The outer edges of the project needed paint to finish off the edges. Clear SRM stickers are the best ever for any project and so easy to use. This little slide photo album is my ancestry and it shares three generations with grandparents on both my mom and dad’s side of the family. What a treasure and I enjoyed sharing it with you.

My layout started with a Kraft 12×12 base and then I used the 6×6 pad of Studio Calico. It is amazing what you can do with these small pads. They are not just for cards anymore.
Scrapbooking layout using SC Classic Calico Vol 3
I used some stamping in the background. Started with layers of paper, added some punched borders, added strips to the corner, and added BG accents in clusters and added some twine to a button and some brads.

Inked edges makes thing pop perfectly. The Title is the AC DIY thickers. This page is done using a very old photo als0 — I think it’s from about 1953.
