Pink Paislee Bella Rouge | Monday Craft Madness #22

When I first saw the Bella Rouge collection I sort of fell in love right away. Not because of the pink or the shiny of it all, but because of the theme. All of the sayings and feelings this collection evokes is one of inspiration. My oldest daughter is about to turn 20 (I know I CAN’T be that old!) and finding presents for her is harder and harder. I also feel a huge responsibility to hurry and teach her everything I haven’t yet before she really grows up and moves out. So today for Monday Craft Madness I decided to use the Bella Rouge Collection to make a little book I can give her to hopefully remind her how awesome she is….. So today’s theme is:

Inspiration

Create something inspirational for yourself or someone else. Here’s what I created:

While the paper designs in this collection are awesome, I decided to just use the 4×4 Journal Cards and Embellishments. All of the cards had great designs and/or awesome sayings that I want to impart to my oldest child. Check out the pages.

October Afternoon Summertime | Monday Craft Madness #21

The season it upon us, the time that rewards for surviving all of the tortuous months of winter. It’s summertime! Celebrate summer with us and  October Afternoon’s New Summertime Collection. tAs I am looking forward to the summer months with my kids home from school, we are planning a trip to go see some concerts. Today for Monday Craft Madness I decided to make a mini album before we go on the road trip in hopes I will actually put photos in it when we get home….. So today’s theme is:

Mini Album

Create a mini album for an event in your life. There is such a sense of completion when you do a mini album. Here’s what I created:

The bright and sunny colors and patterns in this collection along with the cheery images are a perfect base for our impending good time.

I always love the nostalgic images that are included in October Afternoon’s collections. The puffy stickers they include now are so cute. Do you see that cloud? It’s puffy!

The only thing I didn’t like about this project is that this particular mini album was too small to use all the paper designs. I may need to create a second album if we have as much fun as I think we will.  Create a mini album BEFORE a trip or event, then after you can easily put in the pictures and re-live all the fun right after your trip.

Heidi Swapp Mixed Media | Monday Craft Madness #17

I have always loved making mini albums. It’s such a sense of accomplishment to start and finish a project. I was so excited about today’s steal. I love Heidi Swapp and the products she creates. I wished I had the guts to use more mixed media products like modeling paste, paint and ink on my projects, but I am not there just yet. Hopefully some day. Today for Monday Craft Madness I used Heidi Swapp Mixed Media to make a fun 1st Birthday Mini Album for the adorable Jovi….. So today’s theme is:

Mini Albums

Create something into a mini album or share your favorite. Here’s what I created:

I love the 6×8 canvas album so much. It has an awesome magnetic closure to keep your creation safe. The cover of the album is great to decorate or alter to your heart’s content.

I used the 3×4 Mini Album Kit to add a little extra photo to the album, I just couldn’t resistethat giant smile.

I wish I had been there to see Jovi crawl up to here cake and start enjoying it. You only have a first birthday once.

The 3×4 glitter cards are great to add to your album to add a little interest.

The 6×6 paper pack can be used as-is or altered with ink or paint. I love how it’s die cut already and you can have a color or pattern show through.

The 4×6 sheet protectors are great for just adding your pics to your album or you can use one of the sections for more decoration.

Fabulous is the best way to describe little Jovi and the joy she brings to this world.

Authentique Accomplished | Monday Craft Madness #1

It’s a new year and we as a family are looking forward to some exciting things. My oldest will no longer be a teen, my youngest will turn 16 and my middle is graduating high school. Needless to say high school has been a challenge for my Lizzie and we are so excited and proud of her every day accomplishments.  Accomplished by Authentique Paper  is a great collection that helps celebrate not only your big accomplishments, but your every day accomplishments. So today for Monday Craft Madness I decided to create a little book about all the things I have seen Lizzie accomplish over the past four years, hopefully it will help her see just how proud of her we are….. So today’s theme is:

Mini Journal Album

Create either a mini album or a mini journal album for someone you love. Here’s what I created:

I started with her 9th grade year, which is still in Junior High for us. She got to ‘graduate’ from 9th grade and loved it.

I left spots for photos as all of her favorite pics of her and her friends are on her phone, hopefully we can get some printed.

We had a rough time Lizzie’s sophomore year and she came through it all and we are so proud of her.

I love the idea of giving her notes for each year of her high school career, hopefully she will look back on this and love it as much as we love her.

I need to add one more year to this album as she finishes her high school career in a few months I can imagine myself crying as I write that one.

SEI 1-Hour Album Kits | Monday Craft Madness #45

As we are looking into the new year we all like to make some sort of resolution; eating better, exercising, spending more time with the people we love. As a crafter & scrapbooker I always seem to have a resolution that surrounds keeping up on my scrapbooking. In order to help us keep up today’s steal is a perfect place to find quick and easy scrapbook kits. So, today for Monday Craft Madness I used SEI’s 1-Hour Album Kits to make a mini album of little Liam’s first year…. So today’s theme is:

Catch Up

Finish something you have been working on, catch up on last month’s photos or work on that pile of cards you haven’t finished yet. Here’s what I created:

I sat down to my table and clocked my time. It actually really did only take an hour, a pair of scissors and my adhesive to finish 20 layouts. All of the pieces are pre-cut and ready to go. I left the journaling and some of the embellishing off so Liam’s mom can finish up the album.

Here’s a couple more close ups – I just need to get with Alyssa and find a few more pictures to make this album complete. One whole album, one hour, amazing.

So if you are ever looking for a way to catch up on your scrapbooking as quickly as possible, SEI’s 1-Hour Album Kits are definitely a great way to go!
