Fancy Pants Be. Loved. | Monday Craft Madness #4

It’s the season of love these days and I can’t seem to get enough of Valentine’s themed products. I always want to create something for the hubby, but most years I run out of time. I was super excited that today’s collection is a Valentine’s collection. Today for Monday Craft Madness I used Be. Loved. from Fancy Pants to make a canvas for the hubby….. So today’s theme is:

Love

Create something about someone (or something) you love, for someone you love or because you love. Here’s what I created:

I saw a similar project when I was visiting the Doodlebug Design offices back during Halloween and thought it would be great to create a heart for Valentine’s Day.

I chose some of the neutral gray designs to create part of my heart and to serve as a background.

I purchased a couple of small wooden hearts from a local craft store that I covered with some of the pattern papers. I loved the dimension it added to the project.

I filled in the rest of my heart with the fantastic embellishments included in this kit. Along with a couple of photos of the hubby I really love how it turned out. Here’s hoping the hubby likes it just as much.

We are taking a break today from our regular Mid Week Mojo posts to spend time with our families. This will give you some extra time to finish up the Iolite #4! While we are all enjoying the day, here is a look back at some of the great holiday projects featured over the last month.

Happy Holidays to one and all!

How To-sday | Holiday Home Decor

Today we have ag reat home decor How To-sday from our design team member Wendi Robinson

Hello it’s Wendi here and I’m sharing with you a cute and quick idea to decorate your walls up for the holidays. I happened to go with a traditional Christmas theme. But you always can alter it, and go with say, more blues and whites and have it say “Let it Snow” or maybe use non traditional colors and use the words “ Merry Christmas” or “Noel”. It is totally up to you, and you can always match whatever colors you decorate your home with for the season.

First I just took a used priority post office box, and drew out the image that I wanted to make, and cut my main shape down to 12×7.5.

Next I covered my cardboard with a solid main color.

Next I added an inner printed patterned paper cut to the shape of 6×10. I took several patterns of washi tapes and mixed them up and added them.

Next I added a misted doily, cut out a title and hollys with my Cricut machine, and added some MME enamel dots for the berries.

To finish off my project, I used my Crop-a-dile to punch holes and added a ribbon to hang it on the wall with.

and there you go, a festive holiday décor project for your home.

Teresa Collins Christmas Countdown Memory Album

As we are drawing near to the holiday season, I keep thinking of all of the memories we will be making as a family. Decorating the tree, family dinners, out of town visitors, and, of course, Christmas morning, are all fond memories at the Cloud family home. Over the years as my kids get older I find I’m taking fewer and fewer photos. I still want to document the memories we make, so this Teresa Collins Christmas Countdown Memory Album is the perfect thing to journal our traditions.

The included pages are perfect to create a place where I can write down all of the fun things that happen around our home. In the tradition of the December Daily project, I have created one page per day and I have made a goal to journal one thing every day.  I think I will get myself a prize at the end if I stick to it. Here is a closer look at some of the pages:

So here’s to planning ahead for your holiday memories. We would love to see some of your holiday creations! Comment on this post with a link to your creations or post them on our Facebook page here.
