Doodlebug Design Halloween | Monday Craft Madness #36

We have been enjoying our Annual Retreat the past few days (blog post about all the fun to come) and with all of the planning, prepping and partying I procrastinated in getting today’s project done.  I have to say a huge thank you to Van Nugyen, Erin Colby, Brenda Smith and Erin Shultz for spending the other night in my room at the retreat creating this project for me.  I love Doodlebug Design Halloween Collections  The cute, clean designs just remind me of Halloween when my kids were young.  In trying to reminisce those days I thoughf of this project, but luckily my friends and loyal ScrapbookSteals Fans actually did the creating for today’s Monday Craft Madness .… So today’s theme is:

Create something to display or show us your favorite. Here’s what I (they) created:

I love these printer trays for creating holiday decorations. They are a quick and easy way to create something fun and be able to see your creation all at the same time.  Here are some close ups:

The spider sticker and a pop dot makes a cute and scary-ish display. And those monster doodlepops, can they be any cuter?

Using the pattern papers and a little fussy cutting creates awesome little sections as well.

Some of the patterned papers that have cut out cards fit more than perfectly on their own in one of the sections.

This project turned out so cute, I just love our ScrapbookSteals fans, well family really. We are blessed here at to call you all friends.

Doodlebug Designs Happy Harvest | Mid Week Mojo Gardenia #2

Pansy – Week 2 of 10
New to Mid Week Mojo?  Get started here

Warm colors, warm clothes, cold weather, it all adds up to autumn time around here. All of these things remind me of family and the  Doodlebug Designs Happy Harvest Collection brings out all of those feelings.  For today’s  Mid Week Mojo I used a family photo from the Fairbanks family. Super cute new little family.

Here is the layout:

Here is the sketch:

You can’t really find much cuter out there than Doodlebug Designs. Their bright, fun colors and their cute whimsical designs will stand the test of time. Since their color palette is used throughout all of their collections, you can choose products from any and all fall designs and it will go together seamlessly.

I changed one of the Simply Put Album Inserts into a tag to add a little bit of journaling.

The sticker borders are great and the intricate design adds some elegance to any project.

The package of mini flowers are so quick an easy to make, I got a little obsessed with them. I love the look of them all around the layout.

I used some pop dots on a few of the flowers and then added the doodle pop stickers and the flair buttons to add extra dimension.

A big congrats to Emily Aurora, you are last week’s winner!

Sneak Peeks From Our Favorite Brands

Last week I was able to go to a little trade show, right here in Salt Lake City. I have been in and around the crafting world for over a decade and this is the first time I was able to attend a show without boarding an airplane first. This was a small show and closed to the public, so I thought I would show a little of what I was able to see from some of our favorite brands. (Please excuse some of my iPhone photos)

My Mind’s Eye

Bo Bunny

Echo Park & Carta Bella Paper

Silhouette - I’m loving what they are doing with fabric.

Lawn Fawn

And last but definitely not least…

I have been trying to pick a favorite for days now, but I just can’t.  Do you have a favorite? Let us know!

Doodlebug Designs Valentine’s Day

It’s a love-fest around here today, and hopefully it is a love-fest for you as well. Today we are happy to bring you a little project inspiration from the designers at Doodlebug Designs. These projects will hopefully inspire you to create something with today’s Valentine’s Day Collection Kit.

I am always needing note cards and thank you cards for various reasons throughout the year. I try to make a bunch to keep on hand, but of course I always run out.  I love these note cards we found on Doodlebug’s blog. I can picture using this inspiration to making all kinds of cards… perhaps love notes to leave around the house for my hubby.

When Valentine’s Day is over, this collection is great for creating layouts. I love this layout that Doodlebug Designs created. Even though it’s created with Valentine paper, the theme isn’t about the holiday. These papers can be used at any time to create something for someone you love.

Happy Valentine’s Day to all of our wonderful fans out there. From all of us here at scrapbookSTEALS we hope you find a little love today.
