Simple Stories December Documented | Monday Craft Madness #28

There’s nothing like planning ahead, or even just planning sometimes. Being able to get started on my December Daily album in July is somewhat of a luxury for anyone. I was lucky enough that today’s steal is  Simple Stories December Documented This collection is perfect for a December Daily project so for Monday Craft Madness I got started on my album…. Today’s theme is:

Mini Album

Create a mini album or share with us your favorite mini album. You could even get ahead and start your own December Daily album. Here’s what I created:

I was able to use some of the embellishments from My Mind’s Eye Mistletoe Magic collection as well, the colors and tones matched perfectly with this Simple Stories collection.

The 3×4 cards included in this collection are perfect for this project. I love that there are cards with numbers 1-25 to help move the process of this album along easily. Check out some more of the pages:

My Mind’s Eye Christmas in July | Monday Craft Madness #27

Using the Christmas in July theme this month, I am getting the Christmas Spirit more and more. Visions of presents, Santa, ornaments, holly and trees just make me smile. I thought I would get a head start on my gift tags. Today for Monday Craft Madness I used My Mind’s Eye Christmas in July – Mistletoe Magic to make….. So today’s theme is:

Tags

Create a tag, show us your favorite tag, or create something Christmas-ey or Holiday-ey. Here’s what I created:

I love all of the different papers and embellishments in this kit. With the stickers, chipboard, washi tape and decorative brads, the layering came easy on these tags.

I found a few things from my own stash; ribbons, flowers and glitter glue, and lace tape, but with those few things I think the tags came out awesome.

My Mind’s Eye Joyous | Monday Craft Madness #26

When July comes around everywhere we go we start seeing holiday decorations. They used to bother me, making me feel guilty for not having started my holiday planning yet. Over the past couple of years I have a new philosophy; if you can’t beat them, join them. So today for Monday Craft Madness I used My Mind’s Eye New Joyous Collection to start making my Christmas cards….. So today’s theme is:

Cards

Create some cards and show us your favorites. Here’s what I created:

I love how this collection feels so traditional, but isn’t really. The bold reds and blues have a splash of green, usually you see the traditional red and green with some splashes of other colors. This was fun to work with. The cardstock stickers included in the collection kit make for quick cards.

Included in this collection is a package of pre-made, die cut tags. Super easy to just add a quick bit of twine and embellishment and voila, card all done.

I mentioned how much I loved the blues in this collection, those papers along with the red glittered papers in this collection add that little extra pizzazz to your cards and other projects.  The decorative brads are also a beautiful, easy embellishment to add to your creation.

The red chevron is my favorite piece in this collection. Here I used more of the tags to create the sentiments. Add some word stickers and pop dots and there is a little extra touch.

Check out some more close ups of the cards and hopefully they will inspire you to start working on your holiday projects too.

My Mind’s Eye Sleigh Bells Ring | Mid Week Mojo Pansy #2

Pansy - Week 2 of 10
New to Mid Week Mojo?  Get started here

We are lucky that the fantastic  Brenda Smith is back again creating a sketch and layout with  My Mind’s Eye’s new Christmas Collection – Sleigh Bells Ring for today’s Mid Week Mojo.

Good morning everyone! I am back with another sketch for you. I thoroughly enjoyed seeing everyone’s creations last week and am excited that I get the chance to see more of your fabulous work this week.
Now first let me tell you guys, I am not usually a fan of Christmas paper lines but My Mind’s Eye has knocked it out of the park with Sleigh Bells Ring. The entire collection is so ridiculously cute and trendy and I love it! You’ve got chevron prints, triangles, deer heads, and woodgrain— all together they make such a usable collection, for Christmas photos and non-Christmas photos alike!
Here is this week’s sketch:
And my layout:
There are so many delicious patterned papers that I had to design a sketch that would allow me to use several of them without making my layout overwhelming. The ephemera pack, the oversized flair, and the enamel dots were perfect for adding the finishing touches to the layout.
I made another collage this week, this time going with a 5×7 photo size. I was going to use just one adorable picture of my daughter but then I saw other the adorable pictures and couldn’t choose which I wanted to use the most, so (again) I used all of them! I made the collage in Photoshop. All my photos are 1.75″ x1.5″ and are just big enough to tell the whole story but small enough to get a bunch in a small space.
Thank you so much for having me again today! I’m looking forward to seeing what gorgeousness you all create.

Cyber Monday | Monday Craft Madness #54

It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas around here. The holiday season is full of family and love and today for Monday Craft Madness I wanted to create something that made me feel both. Since my kids are all teenagers, I am the ‘old lady’ in my department here at STEALS.com. The other moms had some awesome pics of their kids this year with Santa. I stole some from  Kerianne, the buyer for babySTEALS.com and used Teresa Collins’ Christmas Cottage Collection to make a display she can use year after year….. So today’s theme is:

Display

Create something that you can display, a canvas, a layout in a frame, a mini album, whatever strikes your fancy. You’ll have to check back to see when you can steal this great deal! Cyber Monday Mania means new steals every three hours on each site. Here’s what I created with one of today’s steals:

Using a 7 Gypsies Mini Receipt Holder, I went to work creating a background to showcase these cute photos of Kerianne’s son Mason.

All of the papers, stickers, buttons and die cuts included in this kit made the options endless for decorating this Mini Receipt Holder.

I used some of the included chipboard pieces to add even more dimension.

The paper flowers along with the American Crafts Foam Dots add even more dimension to any project. (Remember to check back to see when you can steal this great deal!) I love how easy they are to put together.

I can’t wait to see what you all create! Enjoy Cyber Monday, remember that all STEALS.com sites have a new steal every three hours!
