We are all in love with Washi Tape these days! This versatile embellishment is easy to use and to collect. Today’s steal, the new My Mind’s Eye New Decorative Tape, is fresh from CHA and ready to be collected. It’s always fun to see new ways to use it. Today our friend Charity Hotum shares a How To on using your punches with your washi tape.

Washi tape is SO fun to collect, but at times it feels like you’ve run out of ideas for using it.
Here’s a quick trick that will give you plenty of reasons to keep collecting that washi and new uses for your shape punches as well!
Step 1: Apply washi tape to smooth cardstock in overlapping strips. Do not let washi adhere to the edges of the cardstock…it will not release easily.
Step 2: Punch shape from center of washi.
Step 3: Carefully peel back washi in one piece, starting from the side and working towards the middle. Both sides will need to be peeled towards the center. Pull gently or the washi will stretch and the punched shape will be lost.
Step 4: Place washi strips onto Layout or Card and carefully smooth down.
That’s it! Now you have a fun, hand-made embellie to add to your repertoire of techniques.
