With summer in full swing around here, we are looking forward to summer activities coming up. Each year my kids travel to some kind of camp. (I do not camp, but this way my kids get the experience) Today’s Steal from Simple Stories, Take a Hike, is the perfect collection to use for your summer camping activities. Now for this week’s theme:

Journaling

I am really good at documenting memories through photos. I create tons of layouts and mini-albums. I am not so great with journaling our memories. I created this mini flip book with plenty of space for my daughter to document her adventures when she heads off  to camp next week.

So for this week, show us your projects where you have journaled your memory. A layout, a mini album, a canvas; use whatever project type is your favorite. Photos are awesome, but stories are what we pass down from generation to generation.

The Take a Hike collection has dozens of cut-apart journaling cards to make creating an album like this quick and easy.

I tried to think of the different events my daughter would have at camp and make a space for her to write down her experiences.

All of the sticker letters and elements included in the collection kits, along with some pop dots (my favorite) made for a quick job of embellishing the pages.

Here’s hoping my daughter has a great camp experience!
