Hello ScrapbookSteals fans! Heather Conklin here with a mini tutorial on making the most of your paper collection by creating matching embellishments only using paper and stickers. Some paper collections do not come with matching embellishments, and sometimes I just don’t like the ones that they do come with.
I start with a sticker or die cut that I want to use for the main part of the embellishment. In this case, I chose a sticker sentiment from Authentique’s newest line, Strong.
I measured the sticker and used my Silhouette (a ScrapbookSteals purchase!) to cut two larger ovals that would work for this.
Line up the various ovals to make sure that they will all work together. If you want to ink them, this is a great time to do so!
Use dimensional or foam adhesive to add dimension to your embellishment. Double check your work. If you are adding this to a card, DO NOT adhere yet. There’s a trick to this
Make the base of your card.
Use your favorite adhesive to glue the back of the bottom oval. And then stick it to your card or project.
Now is the time to layer all of your pieces.
I made another embellishment with a Silhouette Magnet paper backing. If you want to have a removable item, use a non-permanent adhesive like the Glue Spots from this How Tuesday post.
