Holiday Shipping FAQs

Happy holidays from STEALS.com! Our elves have been working hard to fill your holiday wish list and we’re already sending little packages of joy to your doorsteps! That being said, we know you’re all anxious to get your steals and this time of year waiting can be stressful, so we wanted to give you a few answers to frequently asked shipping questions we’ve seen recently.

• • • • •

Which shipping method should I choose to get it here by December 24?

Check here for a complete list of order by dates based on your location.

Has my order been shipped? Where can I check the status?

Once your order has been shipped, you will receive a shipping confirmation email, but you can always check your order at any time with your STEALS.com account. Just log in to your account and you can easily look up the status of all your orders. It doesn’t include tracking information, but you can see when your package has left our warehouse and is on its way to you.

How can I track my package? Why isn’t my order going anywhere?

Never fear, your package is likely not stuck in the “black hole of Denver.” If you’re in the U.S. and order from the USPS, DHL or Fed Ex, the number you receive is a delivery confirmation number, not a real-time tracking number. It can occasionally be used for some tracking but it isn’t very accurate, particularly during the holiday season when they are less likely to scan at every location. Also note, DHL is delivered by USPS, so track your package via the USPS website, not DHL’s.

If you’re in Canada, the number you receive is a customs declaration number, which doesn’t allow any tracking at all.

But don’t worry! Once you receive a shipping confirmation, your package has left our warehouse and is happily on its way to your doorstep.

When should I be worried that it hasn’t arrived?

Every shipping method has a different delivery time, so make sure when you order you select the right method for when you need it. Shipping times vary, especially during the holidays and slower (often cheaper) methods can get backed up. Here are the estimated shipping times from each carrier:

USPS – Parcel (7-10, up to 21), First Class (3-5, up to 7), Priority (2-3, up to 6)
DHL – (5-7, up to 14)
Fed Ex (1-5, up to 8)

If your package is outside the range for your chosen shipping method, send an email to our customer service team at service@stealnetwork.com.

American Crafts Soho Garden

I love what Fall Design Team member Amy Coose has done with today’s steal, the American Crafts Soho Garden collection. It is such a bright and colorful collection, with so many adorable embellishments. She definitely ROCKED it! Get ready to be inspired…

I was excited to get the American Crafts Soho Garden line to create with for November.  As soon as it arrived, I was pleasantly surprised that it was even better in person.  I used it to create a card and two layouts.
This is the card that I created.  The Bits Layered Tags made creating this card super simple.  I just added some Cardstock Stickers and Layered Embellishments, and it was finished.
I love the amazing patterns in this line.  The yellow made a perfect base for this picture of my baby boy.  The “you are my sunshine” layered chipboard sticker, the layered tag, and some ribbon were all I needed to complete this layout.
I wrote out my journaling on the journaling box that is included on the Cardstock Stickers sheet.
I used another piece of the Soho Garden cardstock as a base for this layout.  I loved that I could write my journaling right on the lines.
I used my cameo to cut out some stars and the title, and accented it with some of the Cardstock Stickers, Layered Chipboard Stickers, and the Fabric Stickers.  How cool is it that you get all those textures in one line??
I really enjoyed using this collection, and the fun patterns, colors, and textures that are included made it the perfect collection for almost any craft project!

Dimensional flower tutorial | How To’sday

Today’s How To’sday by Deb Routledge shows you just how quick and easy it can be to add dimension to your punched out flowers! It takes just a few simple extra steps but it adds a lot of “wow!” factor to your projects.

• • • • •

Step 1. Punch out your flower shapes.

Step 2. Stamp on the flowers (I used a script stamp) and ink around the edges. Snip into the middles (but not right into the centre) with a pair of scissors.

Step 3. Sit your flower on a spongy surface. I use a soft stamping mat, but a thick mouse mat would do. Use an embossing tool and make circular movements on each petal to give the flower some dimension.

You can see there is quite a bit of difference with not too much effort!

Deb – thank you so much for sharing with us today! The flowers look great – and I love the fact that it is nice and simple to do!

If you have an idea that you would like to share as a How To’sday tutorial, please send your photos and directions to ksharrock@steals.com.

Have a great day and be sure to stop by tomorrow for our next installment in the Mid Week Mojo Coral series.
