Martha, Martha, Martha. That crafty diva has taken glitter to the next level with today’s steal, the Martha Stewart Crafts Glitter 12 Pack. Cardmaking aside, I can see lots of uses for this glitter. The fun shapes will make the perfect topper for my pedicure and fun new flair the “tooth fairy” will undoubtedly be leaving her dust beneath a pillow sometime soon.

On Saturday I had the pleasure of scrapbooking at a local store with a 8 other local ScrapbookSteals fans. It was a fantastic day and I had a great time putting the Martha Stewart glitter to use, and even got Kerys Sharrock and Deb Routledge to put their own twist on today’s steal.

I knew I wanted to create some sort of a “shaker box” for today’s cards since the glitter is almost more of a confetti type glitter.I created the base of my card then used my 2″ circle punch to make a window in the card. I cut a piece of the plastic from a set of my Thickers and with the help of a little washi tape, created a nice pocket/window to fill with glitter. After filling it, I simply taped it to the inside of the card.

I just have to say how perfectly the My Mind’s Eye Lime Twist collections work with these glitters!

I then tried something a little different and applied glue to the circles on the front of this card. I added different colors of glitter hearts and came up with this card.

Deb Routledge made this card off the top of her head. The paper piecing is brilliant! Not to mention such fun heart confetti water. And in the words of my five year old “this card is beautiful.”

Design Team member, Kerys Sharrock made this darling snowman card with a spin on the sketch for today. I love the window with stars in the snowman’s belly.
