I was so excited when Kristy asked me to feature as a guest designer for ScrapbookSteals it only took me a second to reply! I was even more excited when I realized I was to work with these fantastic Martha Stewart Punch All Over the Page Punches. I love to punch and these new ones are right up my alley!

First, I created some wall art for my new craft room. I created the letters on my Cricut using the Storybook cartridge from a former “steal,” the Authentique Uncommon 6×6 pad.  I then punched out lots of flowers and leaves in the same papers.  This is something I love to do as it gives such a perfectly coordinated look to the project.

To give more definition to the punched out flowers and leaves I dry embossed them on a foam pad using an embossing tool.  When I am happy with the look, I layer them.

I also created this gift bag with matching notebook.

It is so easy to create pretty flowers with these punches to embellish any project.  I totally love the whole coordinated look it has.

Because these punches are all around the page punches you can also use them to create apertures in your layouts, making them the most versatile punches around. If you’re looking for a tool to create your own coordinated embellishments that will also be useful for achieving a layered look, then these are the tools you need!

Bo Bunny Ad Lib Collection | Mid Week Mojo

Turquoise – Layout 9

Chatty: that pretty much sums up my sweet 11 year old in a word. In fact, she’s so chatty that sometimes I have to remind myself to really focus and listen instead of turn on the automated mommy, “uh huh.” When I saw today’s steal, the Bo Bunny Ad Lib collection, and all of its charismatic colors and phrases, I realized how perfect it would be for a layout about my sweet Tessa and her sometimes incessant chatter!

Ironically, the very afternoon I decided to do the layout about my little talker, she came to me with some very heartbreaking news. News that no 11 year old should ever have to come to their mom with, yet sadly so common in this world we live in.  Even though it’s a tender and touchy subject, I decided to document the experience because I’m so proud of my little talker and her willingness to choose the right in this crazy thing called life, even if it did come with some equally heartbreaking side effects. I want her to know when she is a mom exactly what courage this took and to have something to show her kids when they find themselves in similar situations.

I decided the bracket paper that came with the collection was a little too busy for my wishes, so I cut out the center and adhered it to the top of the red ruled paper. Worked out perfectly for my journaling.

I then finished things up with some of the amazing embellishments (which smell good too). :)

Oh, and I love a collection that jives so well with some of my stash.

American Crafts Pebbles Let Freedom Ring

Grab your sparklers and join us as our very own StealNetworker, Tedi Palmer, treats us to a firecracker guest designer posting using  American Crafts Pebbles, Let Freedom Ring collection. Tedi’s talents teamed up with the reds, whites and blues of today’s steal are nothing short of sizzling!

Tedi, my friend, take it away!

I have always loved American Crafts Pebbles products, and was ecstatic that I was given Let Freedom Ring Collection.

I really wanted to create something that wasn’t just an ordinary page. I wanted to use my paper to create some home decor because, let’s be honest, my house doesn’t have very much. :) Since my husband and I love motorcycles I thought it would be fun to create a little road trip that we’ve always wanted to take.

The patterned paper I used in the frame was perfect for creating a cute design for my home and showing a love for our country and motorcycles. Simple, yet perfect.

My next page is of my adorable husband, who was definitely “born 2 ride.” I have learned through scrapping that adding a bit of red to a page makes everything pop. Which, with my husbands shirt, a few stripes, banners, and a dazzling #2, did just that.

Since I created a page of my husband, I had to do one of me too. Though I am not a motorcyclist I had to show the hubby that I could actually hold up the bike and look like a total “biker babe” to him. The colors of this page are a definite favorite for me!

One thing I especially love about American Crafts Pebbles paper are those little strips that are always cut off on the 12×12 sheets. AC Pebbles takes full advantage of paper and you’re able to use those strips in your pages. That’s what I did with this next page:

I really loved working with Let Freedom Ring Collection, and it is a must have for the upcoming July 4th holiday!

Tedi, you are one amazing crafter! I am so in love with your home decor. I’m with you and my home seriously lacks the “pretty.” Maybe I need to take some lessons from you! :)

Have a great day everyone and I will see you tomorrow for some Mid Week Mojo fun!

Doodlebug Designs All Mixed Up Alpha Rub-ons | Monday Card Madness #90

“Please remind me one more time, I keep forgetting! I tell ya, it must be a mom thing as those kids have zapped all of my brain cells. Wait a minute. I have an idea! Will you please take these Doodlebug Designs All Mixed Up Alpha Rub-ons and just go ahead and rub the reminder right on my forehead so I don’t forget? Ahhh. That’s better.” :)

I don’t know about you, but I think rub-ons have got to be one of the greatest scrappy inventions since the paper trimmer! And what’s better is that today’s steal comes in a variety of sizes and colors to meet your every paper crafting need. I’m over the moon in love with these mini alphas when it comes to making cards. I love being able to add the perfect sentiment to my project with the flick of a popsicle stick!

Can you believe that we have been at our Monday Card Madness fun for NINETY weeks now? That just makes my brain wiggle to think about! I had a lot of fun with this week’s sketch because I love scallops and tags.

I love how easy the Doodlebug rub-ons made it to customize my cards, and the best part about these rub-ons is that they don’t love their neighbors when you apply them. You know the irritating rub-ons that leave a trace of everything even remotely close to the one you actually want to apply? Not Doodlebug Designs rub-ons. They are perfection.

I love ’em!

Don’t forget that we are currently teamed up with We R Memory Keepers Operation Write Home Card Drive for a fantastic giveaway. We have a lovely Red White and Blue Stack Pack that will be given to one random winner who participates in the Operation Write Home Card Drive.

To enter to win:

We will have a random drawing from all of the card drive participants. The winner will be announced on our July 30th Monday Card Madness blog post. (Don’t forget! Post your cards to a regular Monday Card Madness blog post by June 29th in order to be eligible for our regular monthly drawing.)

Let’s do our part to help collect 50,000 cards! I’m way excited that I will be hand delivering my contribution of around 20 cards to their offices today!

Good luck!

Doodlebug Designs Mono Buttons

Gosh, I love a good button. It’s the perfect itty-bitty embellishment that can take any project to the next level and is my definite “go to” in paper crafting.  Today our lovely design team member Cyndee Kawa rocks the house in her farewell design team project using the Doodlebug Designs Mono Buttons.

Who doesn’t love a versatile embellishment? You’re in luck, because today’s steal, Doodlebug Mono Buttons, are exactly that! Doodlebug buttons come in bright, happy colors that coordinate and compliment so many paper collections and manufacturers. As soon as I got the buttons in my hands (and promptly hid the pink ones from my daughter), the ideas started coming!

Doodlebug buttons are one of those perfect embellishments that you can use for boys or girls, dress them up or leave them plain, make them the focus, or use them to enhance. The crafting possibilities are truly endless! And have I mentioned that there are GLITTERY and POLKA DOT buttons?

I thought I’d start out ‘simple’ and use buttons as so many of us do – the center of flowers. So sweet, and with the addition of a little twine, the perfect finishing touch to a layout (or card).

I’ve been wanting to scrap these photos of my daughter being fascinated with Daddy blowing bubbles. The pink buttons were the perfect way to highlight and represent the bubble gum color and bubbles themselves.  (Note the polka dots and glitter – love!) Buttons also make great borders and banner additions.

When I received the variety of button colors, I instantly thought RAINBOW! I dug through my paper scraps, and created this happy card.

After having two opportunities come along this spring (that I’d never imagined), I decided I needed to jump on the bucket list bandwagon, so I created a layout about it! And buttons are the perfect thing to fill your bucket with!

For my final Design Team project, I thought I’d make my sweet girl a little something for the upcoming 4th of July. She *loves* to get all dressed up in red/white/blue for it, so what better addition to her outfit, but a hair clip! She caught me while I was gluing it all together, and managed to walk off with a few more of the glittery buttons – for HER scrapbook stash…

If you’re looking for a little more inspiration, come check out my blog for some close ups of my layouts and an additional project or two!

A HUGE thank you to Kristy and ScrapbookSteals for giving me this amazing opportunity of being on the Spring Term Design Team. It’s been so much fun, and working with Kristy is always a treat! I loved coming up with ideas, and hopefully gave some inspiration along the way! Now head back to and steal yourself some Doodlebug Mono Buttons!

Cyndee, I’m actually teary that your term has come to an end. I cannot thank you enough for being such an amazing premiere design team member here at! I wish on behalf of all of us that I could squeeze through the interwebs and give you a big ol’ hug for being willing to share your time and talents with us! Thank you, thank you and thank you again!

I hope that you all have a wonderful weekend! I’ll see you on Monday for another round of Monday Card Madness inspiration.
