Glitz Designs Teeny Alphas and Epoxy Word Stickers

Eeek!  I’m so excited that it’s time to show off the Princess of the PM, Cyndee Kawa with this month’s design team spotlight. This month we asked Cyndee to work with tonight’s steal, the Glitz Designs Teeny Alphas and Epoxy Word Stickers.

If you haven’t jumped on the teeny alphabet bandwagon yet, you might want to do so now with tonight’s steal—Glitz Designs Teeny Alphas! I have three words for you — “burlap” and “pink woodgrain” – LOVE!

For those of you that are familiar with my layouts, you know I scrap the everyday stuff that goes on in our house. From the funny, to the annoying, I’ll scrap it. For me, it’s so much more manageable than big holidays or trips! Plus, to me, it’s those little things that will get so easily forgotten in the years to come. And  tonight’s Teeny Alphas and Epoxy Word Stickers are so versatile and fit right in with my everyday. You can add to a title, journal with them, add a sentiment to a card, use them as the focus or extra little something on your layout or card, and so many other things. One of the things I loved about the Glitz Teeny Alphas is every sticker is the same height, so no trimming if you want them to line up perfectly!

I had fun matching up ways to use the Teeny Alphas, with a variety of photos I wanted to scrap, and here’s what I came up with:

  • An extra long title/subtitle

This photo of my daughter needed an extra long explanation, and the Charcoal Teeny Alphas were the perfect way to add it.

  • Labeling/journaling on the photos

There were so many photos with so many steps to making individual apple pies, so I used the Burlap Teeny Alphas to add that extra bit of journaling—right by the photos.

  • Journaling

I had to try out the Pink Woodgrain Teeny Alphas for my actual journaling.

  • Cards

Then I moved on and made some cards, where you can use the Teeny Alphas to add a sentiment or be the focus of the card.

The Epoxy Word Stickers also have many uses too. You could use them to highlight your journaling, add that something extra to your layout or card, or be the focus of your card.

As soon as I saw the sentiment on the French Kiss set, I knew I needed to do a layout about my son reading a bedtime story to me! It added the perfect touch (even if it’s not exactly the wording straight out of the book, but it’s pretty darn close), along with an Epoxy  ♥. I used Kristy Lee’s wonderful Mid-Week Mojo—Turquoise 3.

And finally a card using the Epoxy Word Stickers as both the focus of the card and the sentiment(s).

I hope you’ve enjoyed the 2nd Spring Design Team post and have found some inspiration! If you’d like to see some close-ups of my projects, check out my blog. Now go steal those Glitz Designs Teeny Alpha and Epoxy Word Stickers! And don’t forget to come back next month, for my final post as a Design Team member!

Bo Bunny Blast Off! Collection

So the other day I was looking at my list of guest bloggers and realized that it was high time that our fabulous buyer take her turn to share her talents. Brittany Perry totally rocks today’s steal, the Bo Bunny Blast Off! collection out of this world.

This feels a little surreal—guest blogging for ScrapbookSteals. When I purchased the darling Blast Off collection from Bo Bunny for all you amazing fans, never did I imagine that I’d be also showing ideas for how to use it! When Kristy subtly hinted that I should guest blog using this collection, I kind of chuckled at first, but then I looked at it closer, and with a different purpose in mind, and knew I had at least one picture that would be perfectly partnered up with Blast Off.

It just so happens that my son was a monkey astronaut for Halloween a year and a half ago, and with the cute little space monkeys mixed in this collection, I couldn’t NOT use some of our Halloween pictures with these papers!

I love the dimensional and chipboard stickers that are included. There are so many, and in a great variety of sizes.

My boys love our local amusement park—and the rides where they feel like they’re flying through space have been long time favorites. This picture has been sitting in my stack for several years, and I finally found papers and embellishments to compliment it!

I really wanted to make some cute birthday invitations as well, but I ran out of time. There are so many uses for this fun collection. It is very versatile, and is one of the cutest paper kits I’ve had the pleasure of working with in a long time!”
