I am truly looking forward to school being out. Well. I say that now. We’ll see how I feel about it in a few weeks when the kids are bored and asking me every 30 seconds what they can do. But for now, I very much look forward to those sweet and lazy afternoons. Today’s Steal, the Sweet Afternoon collection by Teresa Collins, with it’s soft pastels, just screams of stress free times and barefoot walks in lush summer grass.

Today we are lucky enough to have extremely talented, guest blogger Lisa Dorsey here to show us just how sweet and relaxing today’s steal can be to preserve all of those warming memories.

Wow, I was incredibly inspired by all of the gorgeous papers and embellishments in this kit.  The papers are so soft and pretty.  They are perfect for so many different projects.

The first project I completed was a layout about my parents. As soon as I saw the blue floral papers I knew I had to cut out all those beautiful flowers. They made the perfect border for my photos. To add to the vintage look of the photos I edited them in Pixl-o-matic.

Having two girls, we are all about pink in my house.  There are so many products in this kit that lend themselves perfectly to cards, especially pretty pink ones.  I used the 6×6 designer pad for this card along with the accessory sheets and brads.  I created the lace flower by stitching along the top edge with embroidery thread and then gathering it to make the flower.

Soft blues, yellows and pinks instantly remind me of babies. This card came together very quick and easy because of these great papers. Simply added a few lace punches to soften things up a bit.

The great thing about this kit is that there is so much to work with. I barely scraped the surface while creating this layout and two cards. I can guarantee that I will go back to these papers and embellishments time and time again.
