So you’ve been wanting; you’ve been waiting; you’ve been positively dying with anticipation ever since you heard about the new addition to the Silhouette family. I know I have been! Well then, today is your lucky day, as your long await can can be over with today’s steal, the Silhouette Cameo Machine and Accessory Bundles.
It’s almost illegal thinking about how much fun and potential the wide format of the Cameo machine can offer a scrapbooker, paper crafter or even someone that simply wants to decorate their home or customize clothing. You know I never thought I could find a creative tool that would love more than my Silhouette SD, but it’s almost like having a baby―there’s always room in your heart to grow and to love, sometimes a whole lot more! (Shhh. Don’t tell my SD!)
My Silhouette has hands down been my most valuable and loved scrapbooking tool that I have ever owned. And let’s just say, I’ve owned a lot. I’ve had fun creating all sorts of vinyl decorations, have gone crazy blinging up clothing with the rhinestone kit, have made more than a few heat transer projects, had a blast making cards with sketch pens, have gone to town with the fabric interfacing, and have simply had a blast using my machine to create the perfect layout.
Now I know you’re all dying to see what uber amazingness can be created with the wide format of the Cameo. Well. Let me show you just a few things! I called on some friends for help since there is just so much fun to share and sometimes not enough crafty time in the day.
First off, let’s start with the amazing Van Nguyen. Oh and while I’m asking for special favors, could you also arrange for me to be her when I grow up? (Be sure to click on her name and check out her blog for more thoughts about the Cameo!)
I love how she used her Cameo to create this layout about a college roommate and best friend that is still very much a part of Van’s life to this day.
Van used the Cameo to create the background embellishment piece of her layout. Something that you need that bigger format of the Cameo for.
Van also created this dazzling confetti layout using her Cameo and a shape of a bride and groom from the Silhouette store. Cut it out in the middle of a full 12×12 sheet of paper and you’ve got the workings for a completely unique creation.
Kara Anderson has also had some fun lovin’ on her Cameo and created this layout using the wide format capabilities to create a bracket background sheet for her layout.
I truly can’t wait to find time to create a layout myself!
I did, however, find time to play with the rainbow of fabric ink. The hardest part was trying to figure out what to create! So much fabric to be decorated, and not enough time.
Being as my 10-year-old daughter has been positively begging me for weeks to create BFF shirts for her and a friend, I figured that might be a good place to start. Chalk off using a fun, new toy and making a happy daughter all at the same time! Win, win!
Speaking of custom designed shirts, another one of my daughters and her friends are either super awesome or super geeky and designed shirts and sweats to wear to the midnight premier of The Hunger Games. Yup! I turned them loose with the Cameo and some heat transfer vinyl and this is what they made. (Oh and it’s okay. They know I call them geeks).
If you you want to do a little purdying up of your Cameo once you get it, check out this fun little tutorial by Joy, at Joy’s Life.
In fact, look at my Cameo now. Isn’t she cute!
Now I’m sure you’re all “DIE-ING” to know who is the winner of the Silhouette Cameo and Tote! The lucky winner is…
