In twenty days it will be Christmas. Eek! If you’re still hoping to get holiday cards made and mailed, especially if you are one that sends out an annual letter, then today’s sketch is a perfect answer for a simple design which is easy to whip together. The longer format makes it perfect for being able to include a folded letter without being folded so many times it looks like it was done by a Kindergartener.
Today’s steal, Christmas Home by Teresa Collins made a fun change for creating holiday cards. I love the tone of red and green mixed with the black. Teresa’s patterns and embellishments are always rich and definitely satisfy any urge for creating with vintage chic designs.
I was so in love with the black and white snowflake paper that I chose to use that as the base for my first card.
Teresa’s patterns can sometimes be a little intimidating to mix (at least for patterned paper mixing phobes like me!), so on the last two cards I made, I used solid cardstock as the base and papers from the 6×6 pad with smaller designs. It all mixed perfectly!
