American Crafts Daydreams | Monday Card Madness #60

Ever since I saw the 11AM steal, American Crafts, Daydreams, I’ve been dreaming about what I would get to make with it.

I was pretty pleased when I realized that I could use these papers to make a birthday card for my oldest daughter that is celebrating her 17th birthday today.

American Crafts always delivers in prints, colors and embellishments. I hope my Maddi-o likes her birthday card, even though I’m shaking my head that I now have a 17 year old! How did this happen?

I also had to use one of the owl embellishments to make this card. Isn’t he cute?

Now sit back and relax. It’s time to have fun daydreaming about what might be coming up next!

Sew Easy | Monday Card Madness #60

What’s not to love about the 11am steal, the Sew Easy by We R Memory Keepers? If you haven’t yet used a Sew Easy, it’s really just that — so easy! There are so many choices to start or expand your collection.

I love the ease of adding some stitching to a project with the Sew Easy. Beautiful designs. Perfect spacing. Fun floss too! Although I desperately wanted to show examples with each of the interchangeable stitch heads, I made two.

On the first card I made, I used the loopy head to create a flutter path for my butterfly.

Next I used the heart head to create a border on this “love” card. Oh, and I even added a little Shimmerz to the centers of the hearts. Gotta love mixing it up!

If you’re on the fence about the Sew Easy, jump on over. Perfect touches with perfect stitching.

Now take a breath and start thinking of what you will create with your Sew Easy.

See you back here at 1 PM MST!

Shimmerz, Spritz and Pearlz | Monday Card Madness #60

It’s only once a year that Cyber Monday rolls around — ohhh, the anticipation and excitement of what is to come! It kind of has the energy speed dating, or something like that, don’t ya think?

Well today I have a pretty exciting lineup for you. There are so many wonderful things in store for today, that I really couldn’t stop myself at creating with just one of the steals. So what does this mean for you? New blog posts for almost every steal so be sure to check back for inspiration. 😉 We’ll be seeing posts featuring the creations of Erica Bass,  and Julie Ann Cordero !

Our first steal up today is much anticipated and equally amazing. Erica Bass has done an awesome job at showing us what can be done with Shimmerz, Pearlz and Spritz!

Here are a few tips and project ideas from Erica:

  • custom color any embellishment to match your project
  • paint die cut paper with Pearlz for fabulous shimmer and saturated color
  • spritz over a die cut on background paper as a masque, then remove for negative image
  • paint inside stamped images with Pearlz for extra dazzle

Tip: roll spray bottle between hands to mix shimmer into the rest of the spray to prevent clogging. Do not shake bottle up and down. If shimmer is settled on the bottom tap side of bottle against the palm of you hand a few times before rolling to loosen the shimmer up.

Erica, I love it! Thank you so much. As far as the “sketch” goes for this week, feel free to use any of the cards that are posted throughout the day as your inspiration.

Remember, if you’d like to be eligible for the November random drawing for Monday Card Madness, all you need to do is complete any (or all!) of the Monday Card Madness sketches, post your creation to our fan page or your own personal blog, then leave a link on this blog to that creation no later than 11:59 PM MST on Friday, December 2nd, 2011.

I hope you you enjoy your day of speed stealing! :)
