I am a fan of meal planning. It cuts down on food prep time if you know that all the ingredients are in your house. Also, you don’t have to spend several minutes with the fridge open trying to figure out what to make with what you have left.
My solution was planning out a week’s worth of meals on a dry erase board…scrapbook style!
The supplies for this project are minimal. You’ll need a photo frame with glass (I got this one on clearance at Michaels for $2), printed paper, cardstock or stickers, adhesive and a dry erase pen.
First, adhere your patterned paper to the frame backing. If you have a 12 x 12 frame or smaller, one piece of paper will do. I used an 11 x 14 frame, so I needed 2 different pieces to cover the backing.
Next, create and adhere labels to suit the purpose of your board using your die-cutting machine or stickers. For my meal planner, I used my die-cut machine to create the days of the week.
Frame your creation, and embellish as desired.
You’re done! Not only is it useful, but it is a piece of art on your wall! Make sure you use a dry-erase marker on the glass, and it will wipe right off!
Don’t want to plan meals? No problem. This project can be modified to suit any purpose.
