Hey everyone! Are you ready for this weeks Monday Card Madness? I have to admit, I wasn’t really in the creative groove today, as I spent the entire weekend, kid-free…with my hunny, celebrating our 18th Wedding Anniversary. It’s hard when it comes time to step back into reality. I sat down with Today’s Steal, the KI Memories, Paisley Parade, and I’ll be honest….the creative mojo smacked me up the side of the head!
I love when a product can move me from a creative funk into a creative frenzy! I love how the colors in this kit are not only fun and fresh, girly and boyish, but work for just about any project on the planet! That’s the sign of a great collection that can be used for not only springtime projects…..but Thanksgiving?
I really wanted to issue the challenge during this week of Thanksgiving, to create either a ‘Thanksgiving’ or ‘Thank You’ card. I decided on a different size for this weeks sketch….a card that measures 4×6.
I ended up flipping the sketch for this card in order to fit the sentiment. I love how the browns and greens in the KI Paisley Parade kit worked perfectly for creating a Thank You card that would be perfect for giving to the host of a Thanksgiving celebration.
I love the double sided deliciousness of the KI papers, and couldn’t resist using the scraps to create a couple of more cards that have a completely different feel. I used the sketch in the vertical position and created a couple of girly, girl cards. One to say hello to a friend, and one to brighten the day of a B.F.F.
I love how the embellishments that come with the KI Paisley Parade kit either add the perfect touch to make a card in a snap or will work perfectly for creating a layout.
I know I’ve said it before, but we positively LOVE seeing all of your creations on our Facebook Fan Page.
Don’t forget to share your creation with us either on our Facebook page, or on your own personal blog and leave a comment here with the link so that we can see how you interpreted the sketch.
At the end of this month, I will select a random winner from all of those that have participated in Monday Card Madness this month, to receive all of the cards that I have made during November.
Oh and be sure to check out the blog sometime on Wednesday afternoon. We are taking a breather this week from Mid Week Mojo, but I can promise you I have a little something up my sleeve that you definitely will NOT want to miss!
