Hello scrappy divas! It’s that favorite day of the week! None other than Wednesday, which means its time for some Mid Week Mojo!
This weeks sketch was by request of one of our Facebook Fans, that wanted a little help with a 2 – 4×6, portrait style layout. I hope it works for what she has in mind!
I have to be honest that I swoon over Doodlebug product. Today’s Steal, the Doodlebug Designs Flutterby FIlled Tote is of no exception. The colors are so bright and cheery and paired with the darling brown tote, is almost too much for me to handle! (DID YOU SEE THAT CUTE BROWN TOTE! You can only bet I’m ‘tote’ally having to fight my girls to be the one to keep it!)
I wanted to do a girly, girly layout with this weeks sketch, because these papers just scream ‘little lady’ to me. I was fresh out of ‘little lady’ photos so I asked on of our fans, Kristy MacKeen, if I could scrapbook a layout for her of her sweet little 6 month old. I was beyond thrilled when I saw the photos and realized how perfectly they would work with the Doodlebug papers.
One of my favorite aspects of the Doodlebug company is the fact that their product blends so well with other companies. This not only gives you the ease of using product from Doodlebug, but the option of mixing in other manufacturers with ease. In fact, on this layout, I figure that I incorporated bits and pieces from either 6 or 7 previous steals! Now how’s that for a fantastic way to not only get some fun new product, but to put to use your ‘stash’ as well!
I am so over the moon in LOVE with the Doodlebug gems. Long before creating for ScrapbookSteals, I had every color, except brown, and used them on almost every project. Imagine my excitement when I found that today’s steal included the brown jewels. Next to hot pink, brown is my favorite color to wear…and now my Jewels collection is complete! (For a few more layouts anyway!)
Another favorite of mine, of the Doodlebug company is their font. I love the whimsical letter stickers included with the kit. Such a perfect and easy way to make a title for a page!
Hopefully our new system for becoming eligible for the MWM drawing hasn’t been too difficult to follow. I know it’s been great to have a one stop shop to find all of the layouts that were created using Cristine’s amazing sketch from last week.
I used the trusty ol’ Random.Org and found our winner for MWM #13
I love how Kelly Marks interpreted the sketch, and I absolutely adore the photos of her kiddos. (And hey! Added bonus! It even color coordinates very nicely with today’s blog post. Hee hee.)
I also used Random.Org to pick the winner of the Recipe Magnet Board that I made for last Friday’s blog post, and the winner is Cyndee! Here is her comment:
Absolutely beautiful and totally inspiring, as always!
